My husband and I booked this experience for our recent trip to Italy. We loved it! Humie was not only very knowledgeable, but very entertaining. It was a wonderful visit, full of history and details, as well as visiting areas that are not open to the public without a guide. We had a great group that could physically cover much ground in a short amount of time and were able to see much of the Colosseum and then on to the Roman Forum. I would definitely recommend this tour to those who have a love of ancient Rome and history. I hope to return to Rome with our children soon and I would hope to do this tour with our family.

We had an incredible tour guide that brought to live everything historical from the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the forum. She was extraordinary! Being able to get down under the Colosseum floor and learn about all that went on below the floor for the spectators above to see and enjoy it was remarkable. Excellent tour, highly recommend it.

Another bucket list item and we got to see the colosseum underground, kind of cool to walk where you know the gladiators and animals walked! Just know, access to the underground is strictly controlled, the tour guides have to get you there by a certain time. I kind of wish the tour started at the colosseum and then we could go to the Roman Forum and Palatine hill…those felt rushed, we only got to climb the very first level of the hill. I would have rather been left inside the forum at the end of the tour so we could have looked around there on our own more…

Great tour. Our guide Magda who was with the local tour group Show Me Italy was very passionate about the tour. She had a way of sharing the history of the site that really caught you up in her passion. We highly recommend this tour.

The Tour was fine but there were a few things that made me disappointed. First it advertises as small group. The group was 30 people so that wasn’t very small. I thought 15 or less would be the amount. Also it ended up we couldn’t do the underground portion. They contacted me saying that they were unable to get the access. They did however give me a discount for that but I still feel like I could have gotten a cheaper price elsewhere. The tour guide was nice, my suggestion though is that he carry a pole and flag like most guides do there. I almost lost the group because there were so many people there. When you use the flag it helps you to find your group better and relieves some stress.

The tour changed time and with such little notice that my family and I could not reschedule the rest of our day to make this tour. When this occurred with another (great) tour, that other operator offered to refund in full. That did not happen with this tour.
