Marko was an excellent tour guide…..very personable and very knowledgeable!!!! He gets a 5 star rating.

  3. Matthew_J

The tour guide was fantastic very passionate and informative with an encyclopaedic knowledge of ancient Rome. Easy entry with no waiting.

The tour guide we had was extremely informative and friendly. The tour company also went above and beyond for us. We were late to our booking and although not obligated made sure we got the tour we paid for. Could not recommend them more.

The colosseum was amazing. Our tour guide George was very knowledgeable, however, i think he talked for too long as he had to collect the radios after the colosseum and return them to the gentleman he rented them from and left us to go to the roman forum and palantine by ourselves. Felt bad for the guide. he was nervous. We didnt even get to tip him as he had to leave.

Marco knew so much about the history of the colosseum! We enjoyed his tour, he is passionate about his Roman history!

OMG what a place to visit ! Our lovely guide Marco was so engaged with the people in his tour and his passion for the building and the history of it really shone through. He was brilliant and so informative. The best way to see and learn about such an iconic building. Well done Marco !!

Do not book this tour with Italy inLove tours through Victor.
The name suggests coliseum/Forum/Pallentine hill guided professional tour and lists entrances to all, guaranteed skip the line and that guide in English. In reality:
-tour that started at 11:30 with a completely mis organized guide and the manager from the above agency only got us in at 12:30( they did not know how many people should enter thru group entrance, how to use the skip the line).
-the guide hardly spoke about the actual coliseum- out of 2 hours in or around coliseum he spoke for about 10 minutes using an old book and asking questions. Free time here to walk inside, then 2 more words. That was not even close to professional guide, not close to anything even slightly reminding of professionalism.
-when we left the coliseum, he said we are going to the Forum now and when let us thru the ticketing, just waved at the whole group and disappeared, leaving the group in compele shock. No information as to what how where, we did not know we are not going to have the guide there( again, our reservations shows different thing).
The worst is coming back from the wandering the forum ourselves, to complain at that office of Italy in Love tours and being treated like it is our fault. They kept showing their side that stated only guide for the coliseum ( which is not listed anywhere on our confirmations) and telling us silly excuses like oh, we are overbooked, we give you to another agency, and like that, trying to point fingers at others. Their customer handling was horrible as well, so I guess after all, no surprise that the guide sucked.
    Very disappointing.

The guide had a strong accent that was hard to understand. I would not recommend for other than Italian speakers.

We toured together with our 6yr old son. The tour itself was really great. Our guide gave us an in depth knowledge of the Colosseum which was really fascinating. Unfortunately we had to skip the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill as our son was tired after touring the Colosseum so if you do have kids just take that into consideration if they can walk continuously for 3hrs. Other than that, I would highly recommend this tour

Our guide was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, a great story teller and full of energy despite meeting late in the day having completed earlier tours before ours. Our visit to the Colosseum was memorable because of the guide we had.

It was a great idea getting a guided tour. Marco was thorough and we learned more about the history of the Colosseum than we would have by doing it ourselves. Shout out to Alex as well for keeping the group together!

Our Guide Dino was fabulous, very knowledgeable and passionate. The company was great as well, everything as promised and it all went smoothly.

  14. Susan_R

Elizabeth was great, a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, gave us plenty of time for pictures, yet very organised and informative. Great to have some free tomime to wander about afterwards too, glad we chose a tour, it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable without.

  15. Paul_M

I didn’t book early enough for the full experience or the underground area. So this is what I could get last minute. Gets you the standard colosseum tour. Dino was an excellent guide.

  16. Iris_O

The tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable. I loved his stories and the way they delivered it. He took us around places and explained everything about them. Best tour ever!

We waited a long time, listening to our guide talk about all the things, before the tour has started. They kept adding on more people to the tour, or some were late and we had to wait. By the time we got to the Palatine Hill and Forum, it felt that it had ended abruptly.
