the tour did not happen, they had no ticket for us when we got to the office on Via Frangipane 30, due to ´ticket availability´, offered different time which did not suit us, so even when we booked this well ahead, we were disappointed.

I understand that the colosseum area is very busy and the guide must move people along. However, leaders should understand that when they talk while walking the ear plug speakers cut in and out, making it very difficult to hear what the leader is saying. Also when they go from one room to another, the speaker transmission is silent.

The colosseum tour was okay. The guide walked too fast & at times seed a little stress. She was very knowledgable about the history of the colosseum so that was good!

Georgio was our guide for our tour around the Colosseum, Palentine hill and the Roman Forum. He was brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made everything relaxing. I would highly recommend this tour to family and friends.

A very well informed tour of Ancient Rome! Diego did a great job of helping us imagine things as they were from what we could see now and was clearly well educated on Ancient Roman life and architecture. I learned a great deal. The only thing is that the tour started almost 30 minutes late and was a very chaotic meeting point with many different language groups all meeting in the same place. It was also pretty fast paced so make sure you’re ready to keep up!

Our guide brought to life the everyday lives of ancient Romans. He made us see the Colosseum as a living breathing place whose use has changed over millennia but whose breathtaking structure remains, hopefully for thousands more years.

Tour guide was great and told us stories about the history of what we were seeing with passion and humor

Absolutely loved seeing these amazing places, I’d been to the colosseum before but never Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Absolutely a must visit. Yuri our tour guide was a really nice and professional guy. So so knowledgeable about the history and his English is unbelievable. Possibility a little too in-depth with the history for us at points but I’d you’re a major history buff you will not be disappointed.
Very thankful for our experience and it was a full 3 hours.

what a perfect tour , our tour guide made all the difference guiding through the crowds easily, and taking way more time then most guides really explaining everything of importance along the way. Also had time set aside for questions . Great job ! Highly recommended

We did the Palatine hill and colosseum. It was great, so much history and incredible stories. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I would pick the same type of tour again

My friend and I participated in this tour on our first full day in Rome. We traveled from the US and we’re very pleased with Dennis as a tour guide. It was a great way to see some of Rome’s most important ancient wonders without waiting in long lines.
I would recommend checking the weather the day of your tour; it drizzled off and on throughout our tour, and we were both glad to have bought rainboots as there was some mud and big buddles in the Forum itself.

Excellent guide who made the experience fun and informative. Good pace to the experience. Would highly recommend.

Aundrea was kind and knowledgeable. She was keen to make sure everyone was doing well on the hot day, but also that we stayed together and we’re engaged. We learned a lot and she made sure we stopped at great picture spots too!

Our guide was great in getting us around the crowds and sharing great historical information. The experience is worth it. Only reason not 5 stars is that the check in process was a bit chaotic since it seemed they had 4+ groups of 25+ (ours was 33) at the same time. It all worked out and communication was decent, but still something to note.

The enormous size of the Colloseum which was not expected. The construction for the time was impressive. Beyond expectation. PaleteneHill was unexoected for its size and imagining how it looked in the past.

The Roman Forum part came first, and was fairly dull tbh – then onto the Colleseum – where although the “tours” line did move quickly, we certainly did not “skip” the line – once inside and the guide had finished it was nice to be able to see the site in all its glory and it is a must see but the guide is not required.

The tour was fantastic! We had a very enjoyable and knowledgeable guide, Matt, who really taught us a great deal and brought it to life. Thank you!!

  18. vladimir_m

Our guide was amazing and the visit is super cool but it’s really overprice, 80€ when in the same group people paid almost half of the price..

  19. Leilani_C

Very informative! Really happy with our guide. Our original booking time was shifted by 2 hours but we were notified in advance and it was no issue.

Check in was not organized at all. A simple sign help up could have prevented having to go into numerous lines. The tour guides English was difficult to understand and she mumbled a lot. She did not show any excitement in talking about the forum or Colosseum. Once in the colosseum, she provided little information and looked as though she wanted to be done. This was an expensive tour and out of the 6 tours we did through Italy, this was the only tour that we wouldn’t have recommended!
