This tour was so wild and amazing!!! I would highly recommend as not everyone gets to see the underground part of the colosseum! Our tour set us up with an archeologist from the colosseum who was very knowledgeable in the subject! For the Roman Forum we met with our tour guide Fabi who was also very knowledgeable and helped guide us to what other things we can see once our tour was done, as well as the best place for pictures !

  2. Zachary_C

Great tour! Awesome experience going underground and got to skip most of the lines! Well worth the money that we spent!

  3. David_D

We really enjoyed the Colosseum and Forum tour. Our guides were extremely informative and knowledgeable. We will recommend to friends and family.

Cancelled underground tour in short notice, so I was not able to make another reservation. Furthermore, didn’t not refund!!!

Our tour was split into two parts due to the underground part of the Colosseum being restricted and rescheduled to the evening. First part, tour of the forum: Cathelina was probably the best tour guide we’ve ever had and we’ve had a few. Great, approachable commentary on the history of the Forum. We were disappointed we weren’t going to have her take us through the Colosseum. Five stars (more if we could give them to her).
Part two, Evening Colosseum tour: visually stunning, no crowds (we would have been lucky to have had 40 people in the Colosseum only). I’m sure the guide would have been great if we could have understood her. Yes, us and two thirds of the group had been booked into an Italian rather than english language tour. Unfortunately it was our last night in Rome so our only chance to see the Colosseum. Can’t rate the guide though it seemed she was good.

Very well organized and our guides were fantastic! This tour was worth every penny! Make sure you wear sunblock and bring a water bottle/snack for this 4 hour tour.

We were overbooked and got moved to the night tour of the colosseum and we’re literally the only ones in the place, which was cool. Both our tour guides for the colosseum and the forum were excellent. Definitely worth the extra cost.

At the time we booked, both portions of the tour – the underground colosseum and the Roman forum/palatine were part of the same tour. However the tour company reached out to us a few days prior to let us know that we would have to reschedule the colosseum portion for an evening instead of our original time, and come back for the Roman forum and palatine at our normal time. This was due to a change in colosseum policy I believe.
Although we would have appreciated more flexibility in the times offered for the evening tour, ultimately the company worked it out. It also ended up being really worth it to do the colosseum at night – it’s gorgeous! And the underground part (which is mostly exposed to the sky) feels far more genuine at night. The Roman forum half is also walk-heavy and in the summer, very very hot. I don’t know if I could have done both tours at once.
The guides were great. For the colosseum, we had a guide (I think her name is sarah) who is an archaeologist and very informed. She also watched out for us, advising us where not to stop standing still, because unbeknownst to us newbies, there were pigeons right above us!
Our guide Mario for the palatine and forum tour was very funny. His wit was fantastic and made the informative tour very fun,

Really enjoyed Mario’s commentary. The tour was great, we saw all the things, except the underground part of the Colosseum, but we got a 50% refund. It wasn’t the tour operator’s fault.

Getting to see the underground areas was really special. The guide was insanely knowledgeable! You definitely need to bring water.

  12. Brian_A

Guide was very informative about everything during the tour. She was very personable. Would highly recommend her.

  13. Bethany_W

We absolutely loved this tour! Our tour guide was very informative and patient. We got plenty of time at each destination. I highly recommend seeing the undergrounds.

  14. Mikayla_B

This was the best experience! Our tour was split between 2 days so we weren’t crammed with a bunch of other tour groups. Both tours were small and intimate. Seeing the Colosseum at night with no other visitors was a real treat. I cannot recommend this tour group enough! Both of our guides were friendly and knowledgeable!

This was an amazing tour!! Very informative and a more complete
view of this impressive structure. We had plenty of time to take in all of the details and ask questions.

  16. Peter_S

We had a great time. Our Guide was very knowledgeable & made the tour interesting. The Colloseum is an amazing construction.

  17. Dimitri_L

Everything was as described, the tour was extensive and very informative. The tour guides we’re great with extensive historical knowledge about the colosseum and surrounding grounds. Everything as expected 😀

  18. Vil_R

We had a great time with Donnatella. She was very knowledgeable. Our tour of the underground was private, which made this tour so enjoyable.

Going to the underground of the Colosseum and seeing the remains of the elevators was so cool! I also loved walking through the ruins of the villa on Palatine Hill and imagining the rich Romans there. Enza Broccoli was our guide and she was amazingly knowledgeable. She took the time to answer our daughter’s questions, explained details about the bricks and how to tell what was actually 2000 years old vs newer supporting bricks, and seemed to love sharing her love of ancient Rome. So many tour guides are on “broadcast mode”, but Enza left pauses so we could ask questions and she welcomed them.

This is the only way to see these amazing landmarks! We didn’t wait it any of the insanely long lines and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable
