Lucina was a fantastic tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and had diagrams of what the buildings used to look like to supplement what we were seeing. She also made sure we got great viewing opportunities! I would highly recommend touring with her! 😊

Maria was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable. She was very attentive and really helped our family. She picked our daughter as her assistant and treated her like royalty. One of the best tours we have ever done bexause of her. Highly recommend. A++++

We had a wonderful tour of the Rome Forum and Colosseum. Our guide was wonderful and very informative. She knew where to go to best avoid the crowds as best as possible.

Guide was excellent A lot of walking. Not as many people as the Vatican!!
Since so much of the forum is gone it helps to have a guide

Mariana was great, and despite the rain we enjoyed walking around with her. Her knowledge of the history was excellent.

There were SO many Colosseum guided trips to choose from. I chose this one based on excellent reviews, and I am happy to be someone who will add to those reviews.
The tour was excellent. Our tour guide, Sara, was knowledgeable and very friendly. She provided detailed explanations of all monuments as well as the history behind them.
Our tour was postponed (by the company) from 2:15 to 4:15 pm which actually was a good thing as it was cooler and much less crowded.

Having a smaller group is always preferable and when it’s raining, it allows for being nimble. The Coliseum is awe-inspiring, and our guide gave us time to wait out the rain, and linger where/how we wanted. Takes a bit of time to navigate around tour groups and entrances and get started and Forum and Palantine Hill slightly short-changed, but being able to be down on the floor of the Coliseum and hear the history/stories was the focus.

This was a very disappointing tour. It was supposed to be 3 hours long including 1.5 hours in the colosseum. However, we only had about 20 minutes with the guide in the colosseum who merely brought us through the ground floor level and onto the arena floor. We had to explore the rest of the colosseum ourselves. It took longer to enter the colosseum (despite having “skip the line” tickets) than the actual tour took inside. It was way too expensive for what we received. Also it was supposed to be a small tour but there were 30 people on the tour. Apparently there was an emergency that meant they were short on tour guides, this was only communicated to us when the tour was taking place. Overall not worth the money or time spent on this at all.

Our tour guide’s accent was so strong nobody could understand her. She did not hold her flag high and two people got lost. She had her facts wrong. We left after the Forum and did it
Go to the Colleseum floor. It was a big disappointment.

Terrible experience. The so called local operator that you book via Viator was completely unreliable! We booked our tour a few months in advance. 3 hours before the tour we received a text message stating that there will be no guide for the guided tour! There supposed to be some undisclosed partial refund. We had no ability to find another tour on such a short notice. They sent a guy to walk with us but he was “not allowed” to guide. So no full refund, expensive guided tour without a guide! Viator acts as a middleman and the local operator – the Roman Guy – is impossible to reach. I wonder how many tours are exactly like that and they just don’t have enough guides to cover their bookings.

We booked through Viator which is a third party booking company and our tour time states 2:25pm but day of we received a text saying it was at 1:00 We almost didn’t make the tour. No confirmation or communication

Francesca was an amazing tour guide. She’s very knowledgeable and kept us interested. The tour was a lot of fun.

First off Sondra was FABULOUS!!! Kept everyone engaged, made it fun the entire time, and we learned a LOT!!
The only reason it didn’t get 4 stars is because first our tour got moved to a slot 3 hours earlier with no other options, (because the guide had a medical issue – ok, understand), the new guide assigned could only do 1 pm so everyone got bumped up (ok, understand scheduling conflicts), then at 1 pm we were told the “new” guide was running late, (ok, I can see Roma traffic is crazy), but THEN they starting getting ready to send off the group that was supposed to start at 1:30 BEFORE they squared us away. The “4 o’clock-now 1 pm-now it’s 1:40 group”. Eventually, our group left with Sondra (or is it Sandra?) and we were on our way. I just think it seemed terribly unorganized and they should have let us leave when Sondra arrived at 1:15!! BUT, as I said SHE made it worth the waiting!!! Recommend HER and not necessarily the company.

Marianna was a fabulous tour guide! She really brought the coliseum and the forum to life. She was extremely knowledgeable regarding the history of Rome. She also had great suggestions for gilato and dinner. Beside all that she was adorable and delightful!
