What an amazing experience, great communication and our tour guide Brent was amazing, answered all questions and allowed enough time for pictures in the different areas.

Standing on the Colosseum floor while hearing details from guide made a great visual in my mind. The structure itself is quite impressive.

I booked this tour with Viator at the last minute for 11 people because another tour company canceled my Underground tour at the last minute. I started this tour disappointed because we wouldn’t be seeing the underground. My disappointment vanished once our guide David made the history of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill come to life. He was truly amazing. In the Colosseum his descriptions of the gladiator games made me envision them happening. David interacted with the children and the adults and kept us all engaged. Thank you Viator and David for making what could have been a big disappointment into our most exciting time in Rome.

David was our tour guide. He was awesome. He had a great sense of humor from the start of the tour. He explained things and kept you entertained the whole time. He knew great spots to get away from the crowds and always made sure everyone in the group left with some really great photos. Not only did he give us a great tour of the colosseum he even took the time to recommend great places to get food for lunch and dinner and where the market was. Great tour. Highly recommend.
Bettie_L –
The tour guide was excellent! He explained details in a way that was easy to understand. Being able to be on the arena floor of the colosseum was amazing. We also enjoyed the breaks where we could look around on our own.
Michael_G –
Brett was fantastic. A wealth of knowledge and real passion for what he was talking about. Really great tour and knew all the spots to pick. This isn’t a negative but the tour is 3 hours and it’s long and at times enduring. Lots of steps and walking outside in the warm sunshine without a break. Not a reflection on our guild but I do think a 15/20 min break should added to give people a chance to get refreshments and rest.
Jay_D –
This tour was great. Our guide, Andrei, was super knowledgable and delivered facts about everything he was showing us with exactly the right amount of detail and humour. He really helped bring the scene to life and was engaging at all times. Highly recommended.
Rebecca_M –
Brilliant tour, Brent our guide was so knowledgable, not just about the sights covered on this tour but Rome/Roman history in general which really brought it to life and made the tour. Great access to colosseum and then out onto Roman forum which gave some lovely views over the city and more insights to history. Would definitely recommend a guided tour.
Rakesh_R –
It was super. Our guide was really amazing and explained everything very well. There was ample time to take a lot of photos. He also made the experience fun by answering to kids questions
Jared_W –
Our tour guide David was fantastic and clearly passionate about Rome and all the major landmarks. The pace of the tour was fast, but David kept things fun while adding a huge amount of historical and personal context.
Jeffrey_C –
We had been to the colosseum on our own many years ago, but our guide David really illuminated its history.
He was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
Christy_F –
Great tour! We loved our tour guide. He was excellent. Loved his sense of humor and he was very easy to understand.
Great tour, thorough and he made the tour fun and interesting. Don’t hesitate to book this tour!!!
Richard_E –
The guide was fantastic, I think his name was Brett or Brad, a great tour and should be done by everyone on their first trip to Rome.
Rashahn_G –
Willie was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable and simply broke down the construct of ROME as a whole.
Nicholas_C –
The meeting point at the Arch of Constantine was easy to find and not too crowded. We started the tour on time.
Jason, our guide, was brilliant! He was very knowledgable and passionate about the history of Rome. Even though he does this every day, there was no lack of enthusiasm. He was really animated and added lots of context and storytelling so you could picture how things would have been. We came away totally enthused and glad we had booked it.
The tour group was a good size (approx 25 people)and the headsets meant we knew where Jason was even if you had got a bit stuck in the crowds. We are really glad we paid for the access to the arena floor, it really heightened the experience. Our best tour in Rome!
Also, Thankyou Jason for the tip to visit the Basilica of St. Clement afterwards.. what a gem!
Molly_T –
Our tour guide did not show up. We were given tickets to enter the Coliseum but couldn’t enter the Forum.
Cheryl_W –
Tiana was an absolutely amazing guide and provided us with one of the greatest experiences of my life. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!
Joey_V –
Carlotta had really good information as she is also a certified archeologist! Really pleasant person and always ready for questions!
C_F –
I bought this tour because it included a tour of Colosseum arena floor, the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We got that but the tour guide Jason delivered his spiel in a way which wasn’t very engaging/entertaining to us. He seemed tired. Moreover he had this argument with the guy who brought the radios late and he also had a cough. He didn’t have the courtesy to turn off his mike so we heard it over the radio.

Our tour guide was excellent! He was a history Professor, and very knowledgeable. We learned so much on our tour, and would eagerly join one of his tours again.
