The ticket was supposed to include transportation between the sites ..it was provided only 1 time!! We ended up walking 5 miles!! Our guide was knowledgeable, but kept saying “only 20 more minutes of walking to the next site”… it was hot & we had several senior aged people on the trip that almost couldn’t make it through the entire tour. Very dissatisfied

We did really enjoy everything on this tour, it was amazing, but our guide was one of the worst we’ve had. Although she was nice and knowledgeable, she was not engaging, walked ahead too fast and never offered photos. We were also told this was ‘skip the line’ but that was not the case. Regardless, this tour was still great because of the views and history!

Vatican City was amazing. Trevi fountain also fabulous. Long day , but well worth the million steps.

We were abandoned by your agent “ Tour Guy” ? Said they hadn’t got our booking. Just offered a refund (for a booking they didn’t have ??) . We were absolutely devastated, fortunately another company offered assistance. I will not book with Viator again after this disgusting treatment

Our guide was Uber knowledgeable! The Vatican part was overwhelming. Was not expecting so much incredible artwork. And of course the Sistine Chapel to conclude the tour was stunning.

We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Michele, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. He made us all feel very welcome in Rome. The only con is that there was a lot of walking and it made for a long day. Luckily, Michele had great energy to keep us engaged all day! Shout out to the yellow octopus, we never had any trouble finding Michele in the crowds!

We arrived and met the tour guide who spent time preparing us for the Vatican tour, only to learn that the tour operator never arranged tickets to enter the Vatican. Our son left because it seemed we weren’t getting in. Then finally after about an hour the tickets materialized and we were able to get into the Vatican. After that it was a good experience and the tour guide was fantastic. But very stressful start and my son missed the Vatican tour.

Amazing day jam packed with all “important” Rome sites. Tour guide Maria was INCREDIBLE. Very knowledgeable and passionate about her city of Rome and guided us to all sites in an effortless and trouble-free elegance. She kept us engaged if we were waiting in lines and made sure we saw and understood all important aspects of everything from the Vatican to the Roman Forum and Colosseum. A must do tour to check off so many important Rome sites in one day!! Can’t say enough great things about our tour and Maria.

The Vatican experience was particularly memorable, interesting, informative and with the aid of our tour guide (Monica) who had incredible knowledge and passion made it a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting experience. The other attractions (especially Colosseum) were also also hugely enjoyable again aided by Monica.

What an amazing day spent on the tour. Long, but worth it. Monica was the most gracious, friendly and knowledgeable guide!! I can’t single out any particular activity, because they were all so amazing! Definately worth the money spent!

The tour was great! If I had one thing to give constructive criticism on, it would be good to know how far you would be walking. People with health conditions have a hard time work that far off a walk with the heat. Put your guide Maria was so awesome! Very knowledgeable and made it fun.

An amazing way to see Rome in a day. We got to see all the beautiful sights and our tour guide Mikkalo was amazing, you could tell ge really loved his job and made the experience unforgettable. Lots of walking but its worth it Rome is a beautiful place and a must on your trip!

  13. Claudia_A

It’s 7+ hours of walking to all the landmarks. Bring your running shoes, hats, water and stamina. Our tour guide hustled for her group and was very knowledgeable and appeared to enjoy her work, unlike others. He name is TiTi.

Be careful what you pay for you do not get , our guide was wonderful but we paid for and booked a small group tour and they doubled us up with another group and a new meeting time

  15. John_K

The guide, Giovanni, was extremely knowledgeable and enhanced an already wonderful tour. This has been our best experience of our trip.

  16. Nina_K

We loved how accommodating the guide was! He was knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us so many cool pieces of information. He went above and beyond to make sure it was a good experience for us.

Our hired transportation broke down on the way to the tour and we missed our tour. Both the tour company and Viator refused to issue a refund even though we have documentation from the transportation company that the circumstances were completely outside of our control. We are out over $700. Buyer beware – will never use Viator again and will be warning everybody I ever talk to not to use Viator.

The tour being rescheduled without warning and the staff almost impossible to reach. Lucky to see the best parts of the tour

The tour was advertised as a maximum of 15 people, which is why we chose it. The actual tour had 30 people, which resulted in long delays walking places and waiting for people who were late back from lunch and bathroom breaks and less of a chance to ask questions of the tour guide. It was way too big of a group for the crowded places and really made us not enjoy the experience, especially for the cost. The tour guide was knowledgeable but with the amount of people on the tour, I would have preferred going to the Vatican and Colosseum on our own. I would not recommend if this group consistently exceeds 15 people.

Our credit card was charged and I had tickets through viator for 930 they asked to arrive at 915 we were there at 855. We were turned away and said they could not find our booking even though it was paid in full and we had tickets. They said there was nothing they could do and it was some sort of miscommunication with their systems (the Roman guy and viator) We were never offered an apology and had to scramble to try and get on another tour group for the vatican since all of the vitator rome in the day tours were filled. Still waiting for a refund. Kids were crying . Awful heartbreaking experience. Don’t waste your time. No one from viator ever even reached out I just keep getting emails of how was the tour. Totally inappropriate response from company.
