Great tour! Was very impressed by our guide and all we saw and learned about the beautiful Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s. It’s terrible, but I cannot remember our guides name. I liked the way she started the tour by explaining the Sistine Chapel prior to entering the chapel. The entire tour was amazing!

Franco was our guide for the 7:30 am Vatican tour. He demonstrated his knowledge of history and ability to navigate crowds and use down time to the best advantage. Three hour tour was just right for us. Thank you Franco.

I took this tour last year with a private guide and wish I would have done that again. Our tour guide had such a thick accent we could only catch about every third word. And she was not personable at all she wasn’t even making eye contact with anybody. As she was speaking it felt as if she was just reading it out of an enCyclopedia. Completely and totally boring and the Vatican was so crowded that she was rushing us through. We kept losing her and then because we were too far away the radio Would cut out. Then to top it off St. Peter’s basilica closed for a special event at 1p so we didn’t even get to see it! SO many of us were angry about that. I booked this tour over 5 months ago and had I known it was only going to be open in the morning I would have changed my pick up time from the pier and come earlier. I think it stinks that they only let us know WHEN we were there leaving us no choice.

Our tour guide, Lucia, was very knowledgeable, energetic, with a good personality. One issue we had on the tour was that it was difficult to hear – there was static on the headsets. It was also extremely
crowded, which could have contributed to the problem. Skip the line is definitely worth it. There is so much to see in the Vatican, that even seeing the highlights was rushed. Lucia did a very good job considering the time limitation of the tour and the crowds. Her English is good, and she has a lot of knowledge and details. She is also a very pleasant person.

Vatican is a crowed place, with small group of 15 people is a ideal size, Laura is our tour guide, I can’t complements enough about her, very professional, knowledges and caring, I’d love to have her again on other tours.
Other than the wonderful tour, I have a booking incident, tour agent don’t have my Viator online booking record when I checked in, even I’ve received e-tickets and confirmation (from Viator), Maria Victoria is agent onsite, she’s extremely helpful after 30 minutes text/phone with head office, I finally was allow join the tour instead of turning away… Great experience with “The Roman Guy”.

The tour was long enough, without being too long and our guide, Maria, was excellent. Her knowledge, but more so her passion for her ‘My Rome’, as she reiterated time and time again, was magnificent!

Muy caro para lo que es, considerando que el ticket en puerta cuesta como 17 euros, si vas con tiempo y no te importa hacer colas recomiendo eso, en mi caso fui en temporada alta de semana santa por lo que no quería arriesgrme a quedarme sin conocer. Si muy buena explicación y actitud de la guia. Sin embargo nos avisaron unos días antes que por motivos religiosos la basílica de San pedro estaría cerrada y nos ofrecieron un extra dentro del museo que suele estar cerrado al público, sin embargo para nosotras no valió la pena, exigimos una devolución de esa parte del tour pagado o un reagendamiento para la basílica pero no nos respondieron.

The tour guide was informative and answered all questions we had. While the area was packed we were able to smoothly move throughout the area. If you do the Wednesday morning tour where they don’t guide you through St. Peter’s Basilica you can still visit on your own through the door in the Sistine Chapel.

She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to respond to questions that were not directly related to what we saw, and my travel companion is quite knowledgeable on classical Italian art and architecture. Also, her enthusiasm was infectious. The only complaint was that there were so many people in the museum that it felt like we were rushed at times. Not the fault of the guide but just because there were just too many people to be able to stop and look at things very long
