We were disappointed by this tour. Our guide was difficult to understand and did not provide any interesting information in addition to the descriptions already on display in the Colosseum. Rather than adding to the experience, our tour guide made our experience worse. We would have preferred touring the Colosseum on our own and having ample time to read and appreciate the posted information.

We booked a small group tour and had only 4 people in our group. Our tour guide Sabina was knowledgeable and funny. She showed us illustrations of how different areas of the Coliseum looked originally. She covered the history of the Coliseum, Pantheon and Roman Forum and didn’t mind all our questions.

The tour guide really went out of his way to make sure we were understanding what we were seeing, and related some information to places we had mentioned we would be seeing later in the week. He gave us plenty of time to stop for pictures and bathroom breaks! The tour itself was fascinating as well as beautiful to see, even in some light rain! I would highly recommend this tour.

This was honestly my least favorite of all the tours I booked. It was likely just me- but the tour guide didn’t make this very interesting. She sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher a fair amount of the time. It went on way too long. We had to beg to stop at a bathroom and were sent to two that were closed for renovation. All in all, it wasn’t a very fun experience for me.

The church and the chapel were really impressive! I could have used more time in the museum though. There is enough to see to spend a whole day in Vatican city. The tour guide was fine, but a little too fast and too monotone for my liking, but we got some very good historical insights, that made us see the paintings and sculptures I’m a different light. It was also worth it getting past the lines.
