If you know you want to see the beautiful sites, but want to chuckle at history and humanity along the way…ask for Thomas! Most fun I had with way too many humans in close spaces in a long time. Learned a ton too.

Our guide, Allesandra was very nice and very sweet and as an art major, very knowledgeable but she was very difficult to understand. Also, I don’t think the sound systems they used were very good. Her microphone was not close enough to her mouth so we picked up a lot of outside noise. For an average person like me, it became very boring after the 1st hour with much of the material repeated. It would have been nice to hear about more interesting facts about the Museum, how long things took to paint, the goings on at the Vatican current day. We heard other tours giving that type of information. Also, while you are required to meet at 7am, you do not get into the museum until 830 so lots of standing on lines. We ran into people that had a tour with The Roman Guy and thought it was terrific.

This tour was wonderful, especially getting into the Vatican early. Now you don’t go to the Sistine Chapel first but the museum, which worked out great because we had it to ourselves. And by the time you get to the Sistine Chapel the early crowd is gone and it wasn’t that crowded. Our guide Robert was wonderful. His humor and knowledge made for an enjoyable tour! I highly suggest to climb the dome after the tour. I highly recommend going on an early tour because by the time we were done at Noon it was so crowded!

Our tour guide was Francesca. We thought she was not only incredibly knowledgeable and educated about the Vatican but it was obvious she was also passionate about her country and her job. She was very engaging and we hung on every word she spoke about the Vatican, Rome, and even referenced other cities in Italy, in order to help us understand the historical connections. I would highly recommend people take this tour!

We were really excited about this tour but turned out we could have picked a better one. It was a small flip tour as promised. We were about 12-13 people. Meeting point was closed to Vatican. We met our guide without any issues. We waited approx 15 min in line. Checkin was a breeze.
However the radios (never style and tech) didn’t work too well… every time our guide moved her head we had interrupted sound.
The other problem was our guide spent far too much time outside in the courtyard than we needed to. We must have spent at least 40 min of 3 hours outside just setting expectations. As a result we had less time inside and some of the rooms in the Vatican museum we breezed through them without hearing much of history.
We spent so much time outdoor looking at Sistine chapels ceiling prints. Our guide somewhat not engaging and repetitive.
There was a beautiful large modern monument (globe shape) in the courtyard and we didn’t even go near it or hear about it while we saw a lot of tours were taking pictures.
We didn’t stop for water refill and it was a very hot day. End of the tour we had to cut it short and left St Peter’s Basilica to find a water fountain. We felt like we were being rushed that’s why we didn’t have enough breaks. Our guide kept telling us we had to finish at 11 am. They want to wrap it up in 3 hours. The actual time you spend inside much less than that.

Our guide, Maria Leticia was amazing! She was like a walking art history textbook! Presented so much information in an interesting and fun way. Would highly recommend this tour. So many people at the Vatican so taking a tour to skip the long lines in the heat was definitely worth it!

Our guide was so knowledgable and gave a great tour and history during our visit. She highlighted the works of art, tapestry and paintings which really helped you get all the feelings of the artist or the Era.

The knowledge and insights shared by Cincia (not sure if I spelled that right) made our trip to The Vatican memorable, educational … deeeeelightful! She had great command of the history and information, but also delivered it with energy and enthusiasm–and at just the right pace. This was the all-around best tour we’ve had in 6 weeks (and about 8 guided tours) of Italy. Ask for her by name!

Had a fabulous time with the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, witty (important for 3-hr tour) and filled our visit with information and stories. The pacing was perfect. It is so important to get early access and skip the crowds. We had peace and space to enjoy the museums. March seems to be s good period to visit although it is rainy. Understand from our host that it gets really crowded from April through summer. Our guide was Barbara (apologies if i get the name wrong).

It was a very informative tour but I felt very rushed. If we stoppes walking to appreciate anything we saw, we had to skip by the next 3 things to catch back up with the group.

Guia was an outstanding guide, so knowledgeable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! So great to be able to skip the lines, we kept moving and did not have to wait. The highlight of our time in Rome, highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience. The meeting point was easy to find and the staff is on time. Franco, our guide was so knowledgeable.

Tonia was a great guide. Her knowledge of art history and archeology complemented her knowledge of the history of the Vatican, Rome, St Peter Basilica. It is a busy tour but she did a great job of guiding us to spots where she could share information and then maneuvering the group to excellent vantage points. It was incredibly productive use of time allowing us to see and enjoy a maximum number of sights. This was a must do tour with Tonia.

Ambra was a fantastic guide, showing us these beautiful places. She imparted wonderful stories and points of information about the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peters. Can’t recommend her highly enough! There were still a lot of people even this early in the morning, but it was a lot fewer than the line we saw when we left!

We loved our tour with Franco! As a designer who is interested in the art and architecture Franco provided depth of knowledge even down to the types of marble used on the floor inlays. The history of the art was brought to life & the tour was well organized and easy to find

Our guide Siri was our favorite of all of our tour guides. He was fun, knowledgeable, and very helpful and gracious to us when we had to leave early. It’s clear that he is so passionate about this city and how much he loves it which was contagious to us. Loved the time we got to spend there, thank you Siri! You’re the best!

Our tour guide gets 5 stars! Thank you Henrique for providing so much information and sharing your passion for all things Rome with us. The Vatican gets 2 stars- they need to control the flow of people entering this beautiful space. Too many people rushing through made it very difficult to enjoy the art.
I’m very glad we chose to skip the line.
