Rita with I Love Rome by Carrani Tours was a fantastic tour guide. She shared her knowledge of the Vatican in the most interesting and captivating way. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing the Vatican, in particular the Sistene Chapel. Book the earliest tour possible since it gets very crowded as the day goes on.

i would not take Viators driver. This was not a good experience. Lita, the group leader, was just fine. The Vatican was packed. Expect to be claustrophobic in some areas.

While the Vatican is extremely popular and overwhelmed with crowds, we still enjoyed this spectacular tour and are grateful for a knowledgeable guide. We definitely recommend this tour. Plan to hydrate and wear comfortable shoes! We were standing/walking for close to three hours. We also got priority entrance into St. Peter’s which was nice.

The pope has a morning session every Wednesday morning which closes St Peters Church until 1:00 in the afternoon.
You need to make customers aware so they can amend their plans.

Our guide had a lot of knowledge of the history. Unfortunately the microphones was really bad, we missed a lot of the information. The guides are highly educated in the topic and it’s a shame that the microphones are so bad that we miss so much of their knowledge. Also June is not the best month to visit the museum, to many people.

I have to say the meeting location is perfect, easy to find and the tour guide showed up on time. That part was great.
As far as the tour, we felt like that he spent a long time at areas that that are not as important when you think about taking a Vatican Museum tour. For example, he spent 20-30 minutes to talk about plates and vases but not much on the paintings etc, we kind of just run through that area. I would say it was imbalanced.

We were on tour 129 with Alessandra! She was incredible! She remembered everyone’s name on the tour, which gave it a personal touch! She was so information and never missed a beat! She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was accommodated. It was hot so be sure to bring a water bottle. There are places to fill up! Comfortable shoes and clothes are a must as well!

We were 7 minutes late for our tour. The tour leader called and asked if we were coming. I told her we’d were 5 minutes away. She said she would wait 10. There was traffic that day because of a holiday and the leader left without us. They told us they could do it next day but we were on a cruise and wouldn’t be there next day. They had us rescheduled for 2:00 same day after a lot of discussion with our limo driver in Italian. Of course they asked for more money saying that they would refund the first tour but I’m still waiting on my refund. Do not do business with this tour company!

I had booked a private tour of the Vatican which Viator cancelled a week before my trip. I asked for help to rebook and never received a response. I had to scramble to find another tour myself. I had also booked a food tour for the same day as our original Vatican Tour was in the morning. I then had to change the time of the food tour. I received a ticket stating the later time, but Viator made us go at the original time and we had to leave our Vatican Tour early. It was extremely frustrating and stressful. I will say that our guides for both tours were excellent.

Totally worth it even just to skip the crazy line, but add the knowledgeable, savvy, and humorous guide, this was a great way to see the Vatican. There is just so much to see, he did a fantastic job of pointing out the most important treasures spinning a great story throughout the tour.

Very disappointing. Our guide was knowledgeable and did her best, but we were pushed through the museum shoulder to shoulder like cattle. It was so packed we could hardly see the art and sculptures. Not worth the money and not a great experience for my family.
