The check in was easy to find, employees were pleasant and organized. So glad we could skip the line!!! We didn’t opt for the guided tour, wanted to go at our pace.
    Good experience.

The Vatican museum tour was wonderful! So glad we went. We had a family member who had gone with her classroom and became our guide. I suggest having a guide to give you information.

    Seeing the Sistine Chapel.
It was confusing giving us an address that does not exist. My mistake not reading that we were to meet at the base of staircase. I larger sign, maybe a sandwich board would help since we were a little early and no Viator agents were there. But once we asked for help we then knew we were in the right place. The staff was super nice. All worked out great.

    Sistine Chapel
    Raphael’s frescos
The text on the panels in the Vatican Museum was too small and the lack of contrast made it difficult to read.

Truly a skip the line ticket. Made the museum experience much more enjoyable. This was just ticket. We aren’t interested in a formal tour.

The history, color, and unbelievable amount of paintings, monuments, statues and tapestry were staggering! Much more here than expected…too much perhaps. We had no idea that our experience would include more than 20 different Museums. A drawback to this tour is that by time we had gotten to the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s much revered ceiling painting, we had already seen so many awesome paintings that it wasn’t that much more impressive. I suggest doing the “short itinerary” tour to perhaps avoid an overindulgence of enrichment.
One negative aspect of this tour, it did not seem as though we “skipped” much of a line…seemed everybody was in the same line and it took nearly 1/2 hour to get in.
All in all, I will give this tour an 8 out of 10…keep in mind that you are on your own with no guide once you get in.

After seeing how long the line was, I was so grateful to be able to walk right in. There was so much to see!

Exactly what was advertised – you skip the standard entry line. I have stood in the general line before and this was much quicker!
However, the group entry line is also very long, so don’t assume you will get in quickly. If you want instant entry, book a private tour.

Basically met with the tour rep, followed the rep to inside the museum lobby, picked up the entry ticket, and you are on your own to walk around the museum yourself.

Easy to find the tour and easy access. The lines can be crazy sounds will make sure and use these type of tours with the time savings it provides. This is a must do while in Rome.

The Vatican Museums are absolutely amazing but also extremely packed. If I had to do it again, I’d pick an earlier time so I feel less like cattle.

Everything went smoothly. Our guide was easy to find, informative and got us in without any problems.

The Sistine chapel was beautiful however it is a very long walk through museums and hallways to get to the Sistine Chapel. If you’re short on time there is no quick way to just go through to the chapel. Our start time was 9:15 and lines outside were not that long. Would much rather spend the time and go to St . Peters Basilica next time as it is free and not much of a wait to get in to the square. We got to St. Peter’s around 11:30 and quick to get in the square. Line into the Basilica was longer.

Easy connections with guide who quickly lead us through security and into the museum , gave me my entrance tickets and I was ready to
go. Seeing the long lines for group tours and the long line of people waiting in the sun to get in justified that this is the best way. For 8 € an audio guide is available, bring your own ear cord or you have to hold it up like a telephone.
Did a guided tour last year but it was so fast you got great background information but you could not stop to look and wonder and just appreciate.

We were two couples traveling from a cruise ship for our tour. We had booked the Skip the Line tickets for a 9:15 tour, but we were late- 9:17am. This tour DOES leave on time, most tours we have done, so not. So keep that in mind. We are EXTREMELY blessed the guides were able to still take us through the skip the line entrance. I would highly recommend getting to your spot 20 -30 min early. This tour is extremely organized and runs efficiently. There are other vendors there who “pretend” to be there helping the tour, BEWARE of them! Getting their early will help you avoid their scams!! This tour operates in bright blue and are right at the base of the stairs to get in the Vatican Museum. Several tours meet there so I’m hoping our experience will make your experience much better! Wear sleeves and then you can avoid the scarf sellers too! Our guide took us right through the line and helped us get our tickets to enter. The whole process took less than 10 min. I would 100% recommend this tour option. We barely waited in line. The public “general admission” line at 9:30am was already over an hour long. Paying to just get in, is definitely the way to go. Thank you so much for helping our family have a WONDERFUL experience at the Vatican Museum and for turning a very stressful morning into a great trip!!

They changed our scheduled time from 1:45 to 2:30 without letting us know and we didn’t have enough time to view the Vicatan..

I would NOT recommend his tour. We understood it was not a guided tour but several things occurred that should not have. First, it stated a map or guide would be provided, that did NOT occur. Second, NO where in the description of the tour state that long pants were required to enter the Chapel, which forced us to spend $20 euros to buy coverings for below the knees.
I would like to hear from Viator and request half the cost be credited to the charging credit card.

Fantastic way to skip the MASSIVE line. Super organised, you’re basically placed into small group, taken into the museum, the instructor will get your ticket and then you can go roaming around yourself.
Seriously perfect way to skip long wait times and to start exploring! (I think you get chose the option to get a guided tour too)

  19. Ricky_E

We enjoyed this, however it takes over an hour to find the meeting point just for them to get you tickets to get in for you to go on your own.

Great experience. We enjoyed viewing the St Peters Biscilica. Saw where the apostle Peter was buried. Very beautiful inside!!
