This was a wonderful tour, led by a very knowledgeable and entertaining British guide. I enjoyed learning about the artists whose work we saw, in particular Raphael (the guide’s favorite.)
I know the guide was trying to be funny, but it would be better not to belittle anyone (like the French.)
The breakfast food was good, although it was not a buffet and, disappointingly, not in the courtyard. It was raining, and we were shuttled into the museum cafeteria despite there being a covered terrace in the courtyard.
The pace of the tour was good.
All things considered, I would definitely take this tour again!

I’m sorry to say but we missed our tour because the original booking did not have the meeting point and I kept asking to email ticket with details and I never got the email. We walked around for 2 hours not able to locate the meeting point. So we are out $200+ dollars. Very disappointed. Customer service was no help. They denied my refund saying I did not cancel 24 hours in advance. I would not recommend Viator for your bookings. I would book directly from the company.

Niko was an amazing tour guide. We learned so much about the Vatican, Rome, and Italy in general. When we made our way to the Vatican we passed the long line of people and your groups waiting to get tickets. We were able to go straight in, and we were able to see the Sistine Chapel when there was still some room to breathe. Finally we were taken through the tour guide entrance to the Basilica, passing a line wrapped around the square of people waiting to get in.
Take this tour to beat the lines and the crowds.

The breakfast was great, light to start the morning with eggs, sausage, cheese, bacon, bread, croissants, pancakes, orange juice, coffer and more.
We will definately recommend buying this tour.

Our guide, Mauro, was very knowledge and was able to show us everything and explain. There’s just no way we could have had the same experience on our own. Plus entering the Vatican early in the morning was beneficial and we were able to avoid the lines.

This was not the trip we received. Shortly before we arrived, this trip was canceled and a substitute trip was offered in its place offered by Walks entitled Panoramic Tour of the Vatican Museum and Guided Dome Climb. We were told our originally scheduled VIP trip shown above had been canceled. One thing I wanted for my granddaughter was the opportunity to see the Sistine Chapel before hours and that was what I paid extra for. By phone prior to leaving on my vacation I was assured that early access to the Sistine Chapel WAS include in the substitute excursion. But when we checked in we were told that was not the case. The Sistine Chapel was so crowded that it was impossible to enjoy the Chapel experience. Also our visit to the Basilica was cut short and we had to re-enter the Basilica after our guide left us in order to see the Pieta. The substitute excursion was less than what I paid for the VIP tickets and when I get home on the 16th, I would like someone from Viator to contact me for reimbursement. All my other Viator experiences during my vacation have been great! This experience from Viator was very disappointing to say the least.
