Very difficult to hear the guide due to audio guides crackling and at times not working, time pressures meant we were ushered through the museums quickly there was so much to see it was a shame we couldn’t have spent longer in the rooms. I don’t think this was the guides fault but the way it works for all the tours

Our guide was on her own agenda, and was not interested in the group. She literally would “run” ahead, leave people behind, and only highlighted what interested her.

This was not a good tour. The tour operator, Crown Tours, was disorganized and rushed. There were too many people on the tour. The Vatican was ridiculously overcrowded (not the tour operator’s fault but really, the Vatican needs to put some limits on the numbers of people it will accommodate in a day). My advice is to book a private tour, preferably before opening or after closing hours, skip the museums, and go straight to the Sistine Chapel as it is glorious.

I booked 2 trips with VIATOR based on people reviews. The sightseeing trip was mismanaged—no organization in-line, which caused delayed to catch up my next tour to Vatican with VIATOR — after a VOMITING INCIDENT happened while I was on the bus. I had to leave the the bus immediately for safety reason . I called in the number provided on my online booking , texted , emailed to reschedule my tour to Vatican as the sightseeing bus was delayed and had to reach my meeting area at 2:40PM instead of 2:15PM
My personal experience was unpleasant one. I’ll definitely not recommend VIATOR to any traveller; because they lack dealing with emergencies and unexpected situations.

Biggest let down was crowds even though we paid for early access before it opens for general public. It felt rushed and short, and we left disappointed. It seems every one is now buying early access and the amount of people is not limited.

Our experience at the Vatican Museums with Claudia was excellent. Her knowledge was vast and her enthusiasm for the subject was contagious. We moved from item to item at the right pace and we learned a lot about the Vatican its previous occupants and all the decorations around. We did not visit the Basilica due to ongoing celebrations at the time. This did not stop Claudia from telling us about the Basilica and the Plaza and informed us about the best time to come back.
