Wonderful tour and guide. We toured castles, battlefields, and other historical sites in the Scottish Highlands from Inverness.
Our guide, Lawrence MacLain, is incredibly knowledgeable about the region as only a local could be. His comments regarding the history of the clans and Scotland really made the tour.
Betsy and Henry Peterman.

This trip was hands down one of the best we have been on. We traveled all over Inverness. Saw some amazing Hairy Cows.
Johnny was an amazing tour guide. He found out one of us had some family history to a Clan and added extra stops so we could see the Castle.
I hope to come back to Scotland and will definitely hire this group and Johnny again. Thank you!

Johnny, our guide phenomenal. He was knowledgeable and entertaining and went over and above giving us a great experience. Communications with the tour company were great. The tour details were customized to our interests. Pick up and drop off went well. Despite being a long tour, we were still back in plenty of time to board our ship. Thanks!

Loved the variety of places and the history behind it all. Our guide was very patient and helpful as I was traveling with my elderly parents.
Laura_C –
The tour and guide were amazing! We truly had an amazing time. We felt very well taken care of, and that we lost no time. Thanks for adapting the tour to our family’s needs! I truly recommend the experience!

Mike was an excellent guide, great history knowledge, safe driving in the wind & rain. Mike walked us around the Cullodeen Battlefield & explained the memorial and thatch roofed house.

Mike was an excellent tour guide! A great time and got to see so much of the country. Would def recommend, it was a great tour

The visitor center at Culloden was closed and we didn’t get to see Cawdor castle. It was very overpriced too. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful but I don’t think it was worth the money.
JoAnne_B –
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Caedor Castle is not available in the off season, so he took us to Fort George. It was a worthwhile replacement stop. Fabulous views.

We had a great time with Roy. Booked a private trip of 4 people but ended up with just 2 of us. So it felt like our own car and guide. Roy showed us all the various spots including a less viewed side of Loch Ness. He stopped wherever we wanted to, for pictures. He was reasonably knowledgeable about the various places we saw. But, more importantly the tour covered lots of history and geography of Inverness neighborhoods. Good way to spend a day.

Having never visited this area before, we were not sure what to aim to see other than the well-know Loch Ness. Although we did visit Loch Ness, we saw so much more of the area than we would have been able to mange on our own, even if we had a car. We spent the day with Johnny who was knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history and background of each of our many stops. Johnny was flexible in allowing us to spend as much or as little time at each location according to our interests, something that would not be possible on a group tour. After our trip, the family talked about what stood out for each of us; each of us had different high points among the places we visited, but all of us had a very enjoyable time and were enthusiastic about the entire experience. I would definitely recommend this tour to visitors to this area.

Tony is an excellent tour guide. He squeezed quite a bit into one day. We enjoyed the trip up Loch Ness and our visit to the Singleton distillery tasting room. Thanks again.
Jackie_L –
Very comprehensive visit to the area. It was nice to see more than just the usual tourists locations. The trip was customized as we traveled to maximize the visit. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very personable. I actually felt a little sorry for those on larger tours who were being driven like cattle with little direct interaction. Our guide even knew how to make special arrangements at various sites for a family member with ambulation difficulties. It was a great experience.
Pam_S –
Car was too small for four adults. It was very uncomfortable. Our guide was obviously new. He was pretty much a driver. Couldn’t answer any questions and didn’t give much information. One of the few Viator tours we have not been happy with.
David_B –
Really enjoyed this tour. Plenty of room in the van for our family of 4. Mike was a great tour guide and provided us with information along the tour we would have never received anywhere else. We packed a lot of sites into the day but Mike was also flexible when there was a site we really had no interest in seeing. When we come back in the future we will definitely be doing this tour again with him.
Michael_G –
Mike was a terrific guide. Customized the trip based on the time and our interests in each location. I would recommend him & his organization any day. Small group (two couples) comfortable, clean & spacious vehicle.
Peter_C –
Tony did a fantastic job of telling the history of each sight we saw and accommodated any requests we had with good humor. He made the trip extra special with his outgoing personality! We will recommend this tour and him to all our friends in Chicago!
Lara_A –
Our party of seven (4 adults and 3 children) really enjoyed our tour. Mike was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging! He entertained us with Scottish history and was able to answer all of our questions. This tour is a lot of driving (as most are) but Mike provided adequate stops for breaks, lunch and photo opps. He even provided frequent snacks for the kids and arranged a pick up/drop off location better suited for us.
Highlights: Great Glen Distillery (Gin tasting), Hairy Cows & Culloden. Thanks, Mike – we had a great day.

This was a busy day no doubt! Mike, our guide, was absolutely delightful. He was a wealth of information and truly cared about us not missing anything!! He went above and beyond and was very patient with our group. He talked to us and really got a feel as to what we wanted out of the day. Highly recommend this tour.
