George was an incredible guide !! He made our experience so fun. He was the best. Very personalized experience, he knew so much about the history but was also relaxed and funny.

Arrived in Inverness by bus after walking the West Highland way in 6 days. We were tired and contemplated canceling the tour, but we decided to go and we are so glad we did. Our tour guide, George Murray, picked us up on time at our hotel. Luckily, we were his only customers that afternoon so we were able to design a custom itinerary. We chose Culloden, Clava Cairns, and a 15th century Pilchory. The sites were inspiring, but it was George who really brought our experience to life. His love of Scotland and his passion for and knowledge of history made our day. We are grateful. A wonderful afternoon worth every penny and more! Thank you George!

George is INCREDIBLE at personalizing this trip for his customers. We got to see and hear all of the history and legends of the Highlands from George in a way that was personal to him and his heritage. The views are stunning! If you are reading this review, BOOK NOW! Definitely the highlight of my honeymoon. Thank you, George!

We recommend this tour A+++++ with our special guide George who was very knowledgeable of Scotland and its history, friendly, funny and an amazing guide. We were very lucky to have him with us as we were the only two guests on the tour 🙂 We learned a lot from him.
George was just wonderful and even went out of his way to find us the perfect whisky bottle. We even tasted some when he brought us at a perfect spot on Loch Ness 🙂
Thank you so much George. Everything was perfect and we will never forget you.
From your Canadian fans and friends 🙂

Alastair was our extremely knowledgeable guide. We felt safe, special and totally taken care of. He personalized our tour by asking us about what we were looking for. After Culloden and Clava Cairns Alastair took us to see Highland coo’s, castles, whiskey tasting at Singleton and the best deli lunch of our trip. Highly recommend this tour and especially Alastair. Cheers for the best day of our trip so far! Above and beyond

Great tour! We had the tour all to ourselves and our guide Alister -sorry for the misspelling I’m sure, was so informative. Went the extra mile to give us the history of every sight we went to on top of the outlander experience.

George Murray made our trip the best time in my life. Highly recommend to everyone who loves history and enjoys being with the best tour guy in Scotland.

Our tour guide George did an incredible job of explaining the history of the stones. We were already big Outlander fans but George dug much deeper into the history of the stones, separating truth from fiction making this a most memorable experience.

We did the Outlander tour in Inverness. We have traveled extensively and George was by far the best tour guide! Not only was he informative but also attentive to the needs of the disabled travelers. Thanks for an exceptional experience.

George is an amazing tour guide! He was everything we thought a Scottish highlander would be – right down to the kilt. George was so informative of the history of the Clans, folklore and all things Scotland. We enjoyed him and could tell he loves what he does and Scotland.

I am rating this poorly because we were not given the tour we purchased, a different tour was substituted by the driver and we were not given a choice. We wanted this tour because it was only a HALF day, would give us some history of the area, and seemed easier than driving ourselves to these 3 sites (Culloden, Urquhart castle, and Clava Cairns stones). We did not want an all day tour because we wanted time to see some sights in Inverness on our own in the afternoon, and we did not want to leave our dog in the air bnb all day. My husband, adult daughter, and I were the first to arrive at the meeting point. The tour guide George told us 2 vans were doing the tour and we were to get on the 2nd van, which we should wait for. After he left, the other van arrived with just 2 passengers and we took off. A few minutes later our driver (also named George) announced we were taking the 8 hour Outlander tour. We immediately told him this was not the tour we signed up for and explained why we did not want a full day tour, plus we did not want to visit Outlander sights, just wanted to see Culloden, Urquhart, and Clava Cairns. He said this tour was a better tour, that he was just helping his friend out by taking us, and we were getting more than we had paid for. Despite further disagreement from us, we were stuck and given no option to get off the van, or reschedule for the correct tour, or get a refund. We spent a whole day hearing him mix historical fact with Outlander fiction. The other 2 passengers had signed up for the Outlander tour, so we tried to make the best of it and be pleasant for their sakes. There was a lot of driving to visit short stops that were only somewhat interesting. We never went near Urquhart Castle, just glimpsed a section of it from a hilltop above. When we mentioned the tour was supposed to give an hour to visit the castle grounds, the driver said it was just ruins so he does not go there! Clava Cairns and Culloden were visited later in the day, and we were given plenty of time there, so we do recommend that part of the tour. Since our air bnb was near Culloden, the driver did offer to stop and let us take our dog outside for a few minutes, which we appreciated. We returned to Inverness around 5 pm so the other places we wanted to see on our own were closed. We did not have time to visit Urquhart on another day so never saw it either. Tour drivers should not be allowed to switch you to a different tour without telling you BEFORE you get on the van and are held captive. We have had good success with Viator in the past though, and Culloden and Clava Cairns are good places to visit.

This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. George our tour guide was absolutely amazing. I learned a ton of interesting information and he had the best stories. If you don’t take this tour you are missing out. Amazing day

Richie Hobbs of Highland Bucketlist Tours was our amazing guide. He was knowledgeable, humerous and made us feel like the six of us were the only thing he had to concentrate on that day.
All questions were answered and he esorted us personally.
This was one of the BEST tours we have been on. We saw and learned so much!
I would not hesitate to book this tour.
