Excellent cruise and great staff who were so informative,we really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend.
Paul_M –
Great service, friendly staff and a great atmosphere on the boat. Lovely setting and easy to get to.
Patricia_N –
Good tour and the narration was informative and staff very friendly. We weren’t sure how to get to the meeting place so took a taxi from the train station which was expensive. It turns out that the hop on/hop off bus stops right there and the timing is perfect with the cruise time – costs less than a taxi and we would have liked the tour of Inverness! Maybe that information could be shared with cruise customers.

We had the most amazing day with George he was the best!!!!! I will never forget this trip as long as I love. Simply amazing
Lisa_F –
A two hour cruise on Loch Ness with excellent commentary from our guide. The views are stunning and the photo opportunities are endless. We would have liked to have been able to get off at Urquhart Castle for a stroll around but we were able to get good views from the boat.
We paid £12 per person for the Hop on – Hop Off bus which drops you are the boat departure point, a taxi would have been around £17 each way, but by getting the bus, you pick up other interesting facts as part of the onboard commentary. We took the 14:30 cruise which fitted in really well with the bus drop off and the last pick up time of the day.
The boat itself was comfortable, clean and well maintained. There are a number of toilets on board and plenty of options to purchases drinks, with or without alcohol. The Highlander Hot Chocolate was recommended.
We were fortunate to have a really sunny day but I would imagine the scenery is stunning no matter what.

The tour guide was awful no mention of Scottish history spoke about England bringing strawberries and plants to Scotland and 25mins talking about a second world war plane that crashed into the water in loch Ness also 20min wait to dock boat at Urquhart Castle been on trip before and really enjoyed it but this trip was so disappointing also paid double by mistake was told this tour guide was only working on Tuesdays so if you are going on the trip book any day but Tuesday.

The best views of the Loch are when you are on the Loch. Narrator added important points of interest including a billionaire who has bought up most of Scotland and the spot where the most Nessie sightings occur.
Muriel_P –
Great cruise made even more wonderful by the spectacular weather – loving Scotland and yesterday’s cruise on Loch Ness was a really nice way to wrap up our stay in the Highlands. Thanks!

Great experience on the Calledonian Canals. We had a great tour guide and crew, very comfortable boat, snacks and drinks available, toilets easily accessible. It was a beautiful, and peaceful trip. We even saw some ripples and movement in the water, Nessy perhaps?! Very fun, highly recommend this tour.

The review said the boat used sonar. I didn’t see any but the scenery was beautiful. Disappointed but still worth it.

We were fortunate to have perfect weather on our trip. It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Scotland. I highly recommend taking a Loch Ness cruise with Jacobite cruises, they are very organized and the accompanying commentary was very interesting.
