Had a fabulous day with our guide Ray. Very knowledgeable and certainly knows the history of Scotland. Loved how he incorporated the music into the fantastic story telling (which I forgot to ask for the playlist!!) Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Scotland. More suitable for older children due to the length of the trip and adverse weather conditions (which added to the experience!) Thoroughly enjoyed the day and definitely worth 5 stars!!

Jack was a great tour guide. A local, he was very informative and funny and friendly. The stops were beautiful with lots of opportunities to take pictures of the countryside. Lots of bathroom stops too. I would highly recommend this tour!!

  3. Fruzsina_M

Our day tour was well organised by Timberbrush. All the stops worth it. I would choose them again.
Our guide was Luke and all the knowledge shared about the history and sights are all conveyed through an enthusiastic way. We loved his authentic clothes as well. 🙂

We really enjoyed every minute of the tour and the highlight was our tour guide Jack, he made the experience even better, very entertaining and knowledgeable, we definitely recommend this tour.

The stories Jack was telling with the history. He has a great personality and is a great driver. The scenery was beautiful!

We spent the day touring with Andy S. to the Isle of Skye. It was a great day filled with interesting facts, good photo stops, and a quality tour guide. I also liked the Scottish music and Scottish renditions of well-known songs. The total trip was 12-hours, but we had such a great time that it didn’t feel long or tiring. I would absolutely recommend this tour, and I hope you get Andy as your tour guide. Love the Heilan Coos.

My sister and I took this full-day group tour on 5/21/2024. Our driver and guide Alex kept us safe on the road and got us everywhere in a timely manner. He also entertained us with stories and his knowledge of the area and our destinations. There were several stops for photo ops and a stop to feed Highland cows which we did not anticipate but made the tour even better. The castle was fascinating, and the Isle of Skye was simply stunning. Would absolutely recommend this tour!

Jack was such an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable and humorous. We lucked out on a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. Plenty of food options in Portree. Isle of Skye is a must see!

Jack is very knowledgeable and full of info. With him as your guide, you will not have a full moment. We covered a lot of ground in 12 hours. Due to low hanging clouds, Old Man of Storr was invisible. In addition, we went past Strathcarron but couldn’t see Strome Castle, we were already running late. In short, we saw so much in a single day. We packed a ton of memories and we will cherish them forever. THANK YOU, Jack, you are the best!

Alex shared a tremendous amount of history and knowledge of each area we passed through. His wit and wisdom provided a thorough and fun tour! Definitely recommend Alex and Timberbush Tours.

The driver (Alex) was funny, knowledgable and a great driver. We had a great time and the day flew by despite being 12 hours long because he kept it interesting and entertaining. There were many great photogenic stops along the way.

  12. LINDSEY_E

The views were stunning, and we hit so many things we would have never been able to without a your guide.

  13. Laura_P

We had an amazing time! Great value for money, so many exciting and beautiful stops, kind funny and informative guides for a full day of adventure. If you’re not comfortable renting a car, this is the best way to visit Loch Ness and Isle of Skye.

  14. Batrice_R

Our tour guide Luke was really nice, putting nice musics and telling us stories and/or legends about different places.

  15. avanlille

Very scenic tour. Chris was a great guide and gave insightful commentary. The tour covered a lot of distance in a very scenic part of Scotland, so it was a very good investment of time and money. It’s a must-do if you want to see a lot of the Highlands and also visit the Isle of Skye but do not have a lot of time.

Overall a great tour. Andy was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. I would have given 5 stars but for timing; we got to Portree at 1:30 and had only 1 hr 15 min for lunch and to see the town. By the time we got off the coach and got our bearings it was 1:45. Many restaurants closed at 2:00 (on a Friday afternoon!) and several more weren’t open at all. Those few that were had a wait. We finally found a place, had to choke down lunch to get back to the bus – no time to see the town. It would have been much better to skip the first two stops (wooly coos and Urquhart Castle) to get to Portree sooner and stay longer. The Urquhart Castle stop had us just look at the castle from the sidewalk along a busy main road. Anyone who wants to see it can take a £25 Uber from Inverness or one of the Loch Ness boat tours that drop you off there to actually walk through and explore it – well worth doing. Getting up close to a wooly coo was interesting, but highlight of this tour is Isle of Skye and neither of these stops was worth limiting our time in Portree. If you go, research Portree restaurants in advance and make a beeline to your choice as soon a you arrive. Hopefully you’ll have a few minutes to spare to take in Portree

Great guide! I would not have been able to see Skye otherwise and this was a comfortable and informative way to do it.
