2-Day Tour to Isle of Skye, The Fairy Pools & Highland Castles USD 173.71. This 2-day tour with an overnight stay in Portree takes you to some of the most spectacular sites on the island whilst passing through some of the most beautiful highland scenery.
We begin our journey at Loch Carron for a photo stop.
After a drive through spectacular island scenery, we arrive at Dunvegan Castle. Take time here to explore the castle and its history.
Next we drive to the imposing and dramatic Quiraing mountain range. Before we take in Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls, and the Old Man of Storr.
Our overnight stay will be in Portree.
The next day we depart Portree to the Fairy Pools. Bring a pair of walking boots to help you reach them.
Following stops at Sligachan and Sconser, we head to Broadford where you can enjoy lunch and look for wildlife like otters, seals and even killer whales.
Then, it’s onto our 2nd castle of the tour Eilean Donan. Explore the atmospheric surroundings and take some great photos.
We return back to Inverness via Fort Augustus at Loch Ness..

This 2 day tour to Skye was absolutely perfect! Our tour guide/driver was amazing. Marita knows the Island backwards and forward and gave us not only history but explanations regarding the way of life in the past and present. Geology is very important here as are the plants and animals. We had an extensive amount of stops to take pictures of the fantastic scenery as well as the adorable animals such as the Highland cows, baby lambs, goats, etc.The roads are very challenging on the island and Marita is a fabulous driver. So patient with the road conditions. I take many tours but I have to say that this is the best of the best for tour guide and location.

My best friend and I just finished the 2 day Isle of Skye tour with Marita. Marita was so friendly, funny and VERY knowledgeable!! We learned so much about Skye, surrounding Isles and the Highlands in general. Marita also made sure we had lots of bathroom breaks and full bellies. The tour stops themselves were phenomenal. We had lots of time to explore Fairy Glenn, Dunvegan Castle, Eilean Donan Castle, the Fairy Pools and more! After our first day, we stayed overnight in Portree at a small B&B the Timberbush company booked for us. The B&B staff were lovely and it included a large breakfast before we hit the road for day 2! I can’t say enough good things about this trip. I look forward to booking more tours with this company in the future and hopefully with Marita as the guide! Thank you for an experience of a lifetime!!

Our tour guide, Marita made the trip memorable. She new where every scenic view was best seen for pictures. The Fairie Pooles; the glens; Dunvegan Castle; the peat; there was so much to see and experience on the trip!!
