I really enjoyed this activity, it was cute, and romantic and the employees were very nice. even offered to take photos of you throughout the ride
Karen_J –
Good:
– The pickup service in the morning was prompt.
– There were heaters set up outside while waiting to be called for balloon assignment.
– The ride itself was beautiful. It was just about 30 minutes from take off to landing.
OK/areas for improvement:
– The breakfast food quality was OK at best.
– There was no information provided at all during the ride. Not looking for details of the places, but it would have been helpful for the captain to at least point out what areas we are looking at/flying over.
– We were not contacted 24 hours prior to the travel date with confirmation of pickup time and location. I had to message the operator to confirm this information the day before. It would be helpful for the company to be proactive in contacting the travelers about the upcoming trip details.

Was a great experience, I recommend this to anyone that wants to see the pyramids and have an Airballoon experience!

What a incredible experience! Everything was seamless and easy. A experience I would recommend to everyone visiting the city of Mexico.

From booking to drop off, a perfect experience. The communication was excellent, transportation was on time and comfortable, and the check in process was smooth. Our pilot, Ernesto, was so knowledgeable, kind and skilled. The views are breathtaking. And the post-trip breakfast/entertainment was amazing.
One small thing Viator doesn’t allow for is entering a street address for the transportation but I messaged Volare on WhatsApp and we were picked up from our Airbnb.

Worth waking up early, beautiful views with great service, fun staff, and the food at the end was really good

Our Hot Air Balloon Flight over Teotihuacan, from Mexico City was a delightful experience. All aspects of the adventure was very professional and timely. Very attentive team and very informative. The breakfast was light and delicious and the mariachis were talented while being engaged.

Amazing experience! Everyone was super nice and our balloon pilot Juan not only got us really close to pyramids, turning us to ensure everyone had turns at different views, but also explained how the hot air balloon works and answered all our groups’ questions. The breakfast and mariachi performance afterwards was a lovely way to wrap up before we parted ways for people to do the pyramids tour or simply head back. Definitely the highlight of my CDMX trip so far. For the optional on-the-ground pyramid time, they actually ask if you want to opt into a paid guided tour once they drive you there. I think everyone in the tour opted to go with the guide. It was a lot more informational than going by yourself and included a tour of the nearby local community crafts and liquor production as well, but in my opinion we could’ve skipped the cave part at the end.
Note: The takeoff point when you first meet before sunrise is very cold but once you actually take off, the warmth inside the hot air balloon actually feels really nice against the cold. Definitely wear layers, most people had down or synthetic insulated jackets on in the early morning.

Truly phenomenal experience. We enjoyed ourself immensely. The hardest part is boarding and disembarking so wear good shoes. Also have a nice puffer jacket in the morning since it’s cold while waiting but once in the air and as the sun comes up, it is much nicer. They were experts with a smooth lift off and landing. Would 100% go back with them again. Post ride breakfast was charming and excellent as well with musicians playing

Fabulous balloon ride over the Pyramids- very well organized and we added the tour of the pyramids following the balloon ride. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing tour. The staff was very attentive and caring. Absolutely love it. I can’t wait to do it again.

Awesome experience. Everything went smooth, before, during and after. Captain Julio was excellent. The breakfast afterwards was a nice touch. 💯 recommend

“plus extra time to visit the Pyramids of Teotihuacan” just means that they drop you off at the entrance of the pyramids, and pick you up 3h later – it does not cover the ticket to the pyramids, nor any tours. If you don’t want to just stand in the same spot a long distance outside of the pyramids, you need to pay more.
We were also unlucky that the shuttle back to our hotels in Mexico City was blocked by ongoing protest. While if the driver waited for like ~15min the protest would end and we are able to go through, he decided to drop us off before the street of the protest, and we (only know like 5 words in Spanish) had to figure out our way back without knowledge about Mexico City’s transportation system. While I understand, it’s definitely not a good experience.
Besides this, super fun experience and stunning view on the hot air ballon! The ballon ride was very smooth and the operator seemed like an expert. Would recommend going during sunlight for the views.

Flying over the pyramids of the sun and moon watching the sun coming up with all the other balloons around

This was such an amazing once in a life time experience. We were well taken care of. It was safe, calm and so beautiful. To see the pyramids of Teotuacan from this view is well worth the trip.

The whole experience was incredible. From the morning coffee and cookies, the hot air balloon pilot, the duration of the flight, the breakfast with mariachi after and drop off. This is well worth it and I truly recommend! All staff we encountered were very nice and hospitable. I have been to the pyramids once before and now I know I will always recommend the hot air balloon as part of visiting the pyramids. Thank you!

5 am pick up, van on time, but driver wasted over 15 minutes deciding if late booking, he had Victor confirmation on his phone- but this not good enough for driver, could go with rest of us. So all of us stood around in the cold waiting for driver to get a call confirming what he had already paid for.
VERY POOR ORGANIZATION. Off to cold, dark, rocky start.
Balloon guide told us there would be tequila, there WAS NOT, I checked with 2 staff. After breakfast told 45 minute wait for ride back. Everyone, all 150+, left at same time, organized for company convenience, not paying customer.
Half hour in the air was amazing, rest of experience 3rd class or worse.
Milan_C –
Prepare for the greatest experience in your life. You will feel energy transmiting from the pyramids for sure.

We waited for 3 hours and at the end the air balloon ride was cancelled. While other companies were releasing their balloons. We were very disappointed
