Such a great day in a magical place. I enjoyed getting there in the morning to spend the day learning about the history of Teotihuacan. Liliana was a terrific tour guide and Alejandro was an excellent bus driver! Thank you!

The people in charge of the trip were very kind and willing to answering your questions. Once in Teotihuacán, the tour guide made of experience fun and we had the chance to learnt a lot of the ancient civilizations.
David_I –
The ruins were incredible and the guide was very knowledgeable. I am glad that I took this tour. The tequila tasting at the end was a nice way to finish.

I actually enjoyed the tour, especially the information provided by the guide. I’m giving this a low rating to hopefully draw the attention of the organizers. The listing currently includes misinformation – notably this line: “Snap memorable shots from the top of Sun Pyramid and Moon Pyramid, and then cap off your day trip from Mexico City with a visit to an obsidian factory.” Visitors are no longer allowed to climb the sun and moon pyramids, and we did not visit an obsidian factory; we visited an obsidian gift shop.

excellent tour. Our guide Eliazar with very good knowledge, explained the history of Teotihuacan and the pyramids built there. Later they took us to a Mexican restaurant (el rancho azteca) they had very good dishes. There was also a tasting of tequila, mezcal and pulque. I totally recommend the tour. The entire group of guides (Alex & Eliazar) behaved very well.

Overall good experience.
The description needs to be re-written.
We did not arrive for sunrise – bus actually left an hour later that started departure time. Even if it left on time the sun was up by 7am.
It’s a large tour bus (around 60 people). Therefore waiting on folks holds time back.
You walk over 5km on rocky grounds with a lot of steep steps – not conducive for older folks or folks with knee issues.
The tour experience itself is dependent on the tour guide. I think there should be an option to get a map that is also marked with meeting points and go at your own pace.
Description wasn’t accurate because we didn’t visit an obsidian factory- it was a gift shop. The same gift shop did the tasting in order to try to get you to buy liquor and obsidian crafts.

The place is amazing, but tour guide not super knowledgeable, rushed us round very quickly and shepherded us to a tourist trap store 🙁
AnaLaura_C –
During the tour all the time there are people trying to sell you something. The worst part was the drop off at the end. The tour is supposed to end at the same spot where it started, they left us at a different spot, it was a big issue to meet with my family since they dropped us somewhere else. My family was already waiting for me at the point where we started.

Antionio was great! great tour and easily accessible. My only gripe was the restaurant did force one plate per person and it was not very good. Although it is early access we did not get back until 3 pm.

The tour guides were good, and the location itself was great. They do lose a point for being 40 minutes late to pickup with no apology – we woke up at 5am to get to the pickup on time. It would have been great if they were honest about the start time. Overall a fun experience but a rough start.

shout out to our guides Hector, Diana and the driver Tony for a wonderful day of learning history and seeing magnificent ancient creation!
I was picked up at Hostal Amigo, and the bus was there on time at 6:50. However, we did not leave until 7:05 ish, maybe they were waiting for someone.
We stopped at a gas station and I was able to use a restroom (30 pesos ) and bought some snacks.
At teotihuacan, I highly recommend wearing a hat and being plenty of water as you walk about 3km under the sun.
As I elected English tour, I followed Hector. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.
I was worried if I could do all the walking and climbing but the pyramid we climbed was small, and it wasn’t bad at all.
After that we had liquor tasting, then went to the gift shop (prices were high) and then to the restaurant. I enjoyed my chicken dish there.
There was live music and dance performance, and they would not leave your table until you give them tips so you should have some cash on hand.
We were back in the city around 3pm.

We would better off taking the uber round trip than doing this tour. Woke up at 5 to catch the tour at 6:20, hoping to have early access. The bus ride ends up taking 2hours20min because it takes too many stops. Uber only takes 1 hour and it’s cheaper!
The only good part is our tour guide. He seems knowledge and is a nice person. We spent ~3 hours in the pyramid. However the tequila tasting part is a total scam – we were brought to a tourist shop and forced to spend 2hour 30min there. The shop owner keeps selling us souvenirs that are above market price. Then the tour guide let us eat at a restaurant they chose, which is the worst I’ve had in Mexico City. The ingredients aren’t fresh and taste very bad – I got sick during the night.
The tour took us 9hours when we could do it in 5hours with a cheaper price.Totally waste of time, money and our health.

Trip was great, the guides were great would recommend. Very professional , very nice place to visit and spend a day

Overall the tour was good. We had a ride to the pyramids and back. It would have been more expensive in an Uber there and back without guides. Our guides Jovanna and Fernanda were great. Our driver Antonio was really good and we felt safe. We learned a lot on the tour. The only drawback for us was the alcohol tasting and the shopping experience after. We could have done without. The restaurant was nice, but still felt like part of the “tour”.

Geovana (english guide) is a fantastic guide and beyond my expectations !! There was lots of interesting information and it was fun and interactive with a very good pace of the tour. I skipped the tasting and lunch and left the pyramids on my own.
Maria_E –
Our tour guide gave us a wonderful tour of the Pyramids. He answered all of our questions. We especially enjoyed learning about the history behind the ruins and about the people that lived there. He was in no rush which gave us time to take pictures and to take a breath after walking the area.
Tatevik_B –
It was a really good trip, with nice guide well informed. The only problem that I pay only for English tour (there was a option bilingual tour and one language tour) 10$ more for each of us, but the tour was bilingual. So never chose that option, and do not pay 10$ more for nothing. Over all I recommend this tour.
ashita_p –
Punctual, good plan, just needed more time at each place and not rush through. Did not get to hear half of the guide’s explaination nor did get to take the pictures while on the spot.
We were always towards the last to follow and the guide had already started and ready to move on to the next spot.
Except for the rush everything else was great.

The ruins are amazing!
However, based on description on Viator, they recommend you to be at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to time scheduled.
Bus arrived 45 minutes late, and we waited for someone for another 15 minutes, so basically we waited for more than one hour to leave to the site.
On the return, the guides announced that they would be not be able to drop you off at the city center meeting point because of traffic ( it is stated that the bus will return to the original pick up point). They wanted to drop us off far from the center, which would require money for taxi, time or public transportation, too far to walk.
It seems that they do this everyday to save themself time.
IF IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DROP OFF AT CITY HISTORIC CENTER, IT SHOULD NOT BE PUBLISHED ON THE TOUR DESCRIPTION.

Very good your which was simple to book and meet at the pick up point. Transport was very clean and quick. Guides very knowledgeable and funny.
Bradley_F –
Tour was good and insightful. We paid for a full English tour, and were told when we arrived that there would be a group for English and a group for Spanish, however not long after the Spanish guide left and the one guide was forced to translate for both, without explanation. He did a great job, but seemed to focus more detail on Spanish explanations and the English ones were an afterthought.
By the time we made it to the two main pyramids, there were many other tourists already there. The tour starts at gate 1 and finishes at gate 3. Would be much better if it was in reverse – start at gate 3 by the main pyramids when there’s barely anyone else around, and finish down at gate 1.
We also got dropped off nowhere near our starting point, due to “traffic”. Perhaps if two hours wasn’t wasted having lunch and by having locals try to sell you obsidian under the guise of it being a ‘tequila tasting tour’ we would have made it back before traffic was an issue. This could be condensed down to an hour which would leave everyone plenty of time to enjoy lunch.
