We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Teotihuacan and Our Lady of Guadalupe shrine tour with Sylvia and our wonderful driver Carlos! Sylvia’s knowledge and enthusiasm brought the history of Teotihuacan to life, making the ancient site even more captivating. Her storytelling was engaging and informative, creating a memorable journey through time.
Carlos went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout the tour. Not only did he expertly navigate the roads, but he also surprised us with his thoughtfulness by providing ponchos when unexpected rain caught us off guard. His quick thinking and willingness to go the extra mile made the trip even more special.
Together, Sylvia and Carlos created a seamless and delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide us through these incredible destinations. I highly recommend this tour and the outstanding duo of Sylvia and Carlos to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in Mexico.

Sylvia, our guide, and Arturo, our driver, were exemplary hosts. We opted to not do the included lunch and we tried street carnitas for the first time! The whole day was very informative, and they were amenable to any changes we wanted to make to the itinerary. We went early in the morning to beat the crowds at the pyramids. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to get out of the city for the day!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and open minded! It truly was a great tour. The only critique is that we had our 3 kids with us and felt rushed. We didn’t get to purchase any souvenirs from the vendors and we so so wanted to 😕

Our guide, Sylvia, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the tour. She demonstrated an extensive knowledge of the pyramids and the shrine. It was a wonderful day in her company. Highly recommended.

The pyramids were awesome. We did not realize how big the pyramids were and that there were so many. Visiting the Guadalupe Shrine was good too. What made this trip interesting and memorable was our knowledgeable guide Arturo, who spoke very good English. Strongly recommend this tour.

Ramón, our tour guide, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the pyramids and the Basilica. We had booked a private tour in order to spend more time at the Virgen de Guadalupe to pray for a miracle for our cancer diagnosis, and Ramón was incredibly empathetic, kind and helpful showing us around the Basilica and directing us where to go for blessings, candle lighting and prayer requests. We were blessed to have Ramón cross our paths on this special tour. God bless you, Ramón y muchas gracias.

Roberto was a great tour guide. Had a vast amount of historical knowledge and a very fun attitude. He and our driver Martin went out of there way to make our tour perfect.

The Pyramid of the Sun was amazing to see in person. Victoria did an awesome job of guiding us and giving us the history of the site. Also took us to a great lunch.

My dad and I booked a private tour to Teotihuacan because my dad has mobility issues and would be better if we were on our own schedule to not negatively affect the experience of others in a group. The sites of the tour are excellent. You should absolutely go to these places and learn about the history.
Unfortunately, we must’ve been assigned a new guide. While other reviews mentioned guides who made the experience great, our experience was downright painful at times.
I wouldn’t expect a guide to be in a suit, but our guide was slovenly with a ratty backpack, t-shirt, and a fly that was unzipped. His pants barely fit and were tenuously held up by a belt. It felt unprofessional, like we hired some random person off the street.
While his level of English was far superior my level of Spanish, it was not a suitable level for this type of tour. He frequently forgot the English words he was trying to convey as the vocabulary of this tour is a bit specialized. He would stutter extensively while trying to form his English sentences resulting in, at times 10 seconds of “…uh, uh, uh…like….”. His level of English is good for conversation, but I feel like we missed out on a great deal of interesting history due to his inability to convey the information.
I saw him taking a kickback from a vendor he had herded us to. He suggested we have hats for the pyramid visits, so we bought a couple at a shop on arrival. (You should definitely have a hat and sunglasses for the visit.) After we made a purchase I saw the shop owner give him some cash. After that, I realized he had sort of herded us towards that specific shop. I’m sure it’s common practice, but I immediately wondered if we just paid inflated prices at that shop.
At one point he brought up his personal views that he believed manmade climate change is a hoax. I’m aware that you may agree or disagree with this, but in general this doesn’t seem like an appropriate topic for this excursion.
This was a long day, but unfortunately I was already regretting going on it at the first stop less than 30 minutes after we were picked up.
Be cautious about the tour provider you choose, but you should absolutely visit the pyramids!

Carlos was a great guide with plenty of knowledge and information about all the sites we saw. He was also flexible in what we saw and the amount of time we spent in the various locations, which we highly appreciated.
