Our guide Ivan was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made it interesting for our kids as well. Following our morning tour, he went out of his way to help us figure out logistics on an afternoon activity and offered to drop us there, which was a much longer trip for him.

The private tour from Mexico City and back was incredible! Our guide Gerardo had the answers to every question we had throughout our time together.
NOTE: wear shoes with cushion, as the ground is fairly uneven and a thinner sole would likely be uncomfortable.
We were picked up in a private car from our BnB and given the choice of resting or hearing about the ancient civilization. We opted to learn and our guide used an iPad to help us visualize. Once we arrived, we quickly started learning about the significance of the site, the paintings, the symbols and the civilization. NOTE: These are things you will not be able to read about on posted signs. The pyramids were awe inspiring and a great photo opportunity once you understand their significance and history. We opted to walk the whole Avenue of the Dead instead of being picked up halfway and fast tracked and it was a beautiful day, and it was well worth the steps.
We also had the option of climbing one of the pyramids and it is also an experience not to be missed.
We had a comfortable ride home and were dropped off right where we were picked up. A quick half day well worth venturing out to!

Yosafat was a fantastic guide! He was very kind and super knowledgeable. We ran late due to traffic for our meetup and he was very understanding. He even had a binder to show us additional information and context to explain our questions, which was awesome. We really lucked out by booking this tour!

Can’t recommend this highly enough!!! Gerardo and Paco picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable van with refreshments in an icy cooler. We drove out to the site and learned about the history of the area on our way. While we were there, Gerardo made the experience one of a lifetime. We were even able to add on a tour of the Basilica de Guadalupe to our trip. The tours were the highlight of our trip that I will remember for the rest of my life!

Aldo was fantastic. His archeological background brought Teotihuacan to life! He’s a pro. The ancient city more grandiose and expansive than you would think, if you’ve never visited. It blends with its surrounding illustrating the Teotihuacan’s singularity with the natural elements around them.

Must do experience when visiting Mexico City. Here’s what I liked about this tour:
1) Our guide Edith was awesome and made this a rich, fun and educational experience
2) Great communication and painless pick-up and drop-off
3) Loved the privacy of the tour and avoiding public transport.
Do the tequila tasting at the obsidian workshop but don’t buy any of the souvenirs there – much cheaper in the city.

Gerardo gave us a great tour of Teotihuacan! He was incredibly knowledgeable of the area and Mexican history in general. He flexed the pace of our tour to our preferences and gave us options on what we wanted to see or were ok with skipping. I would highly recommend this tour for those looking for a more private and custom experience!
