Graeme, our driver, was amazing. The whole experience was incredible. The lunch at the inn was very tasty too!!!

My rating for this trip would have been higher if a visit to Deanston Distillery had not been included. For the same reason I would have gladly recommended your tours to friends / family.
To see why, see my review of their Distillery via Google Maps.
After I had expressed my views to the tour guide and she had left us, another member of our group gave me a fist bump, so my thoughts had NOT been out of line as far as he (and maybe others) had thought.
When the driver, Stephen, told us of our route back to Edinburgh, I asked if we would be going past The Kelpies again and, if so, could he give us some notice of reaching them. He did and I got a good close up video of them (shortened from 58 to 12 seconds long) prior to me seeing them tomorrow with a different tour company.
Despite my troublesome legs I would gladly visit Glengoyne again, where I do not think the workers wore face masks. I cannot recall if I saw any or not at Deanston.
The “requirement” for us to wear face masks at Deanston has apparently not been a requirement for a month and a half.
Only the last photo was raken at The Deanston Distillery.
Good choice of location for lunch.

The guide, Pete, was great! The tour was interesting, informative, and fun. Glengoyne Distillery gave us a lot of good insight on thé whisky making process.

A very nice experience from start to finish. The day started impeccably, as Rabbie’s Tours has you check in at their own cafe, where coffee and breakfast to prepare you for the day are available and delicious. The bus of 16 seats comfortably accommodated the 12 people on the tour and I had two seats to myself. Not surprisingly, the scenery the entire day was beautiful and Angus’s commentary was well balanced to be interesting, entertaining, but not overwhelming. Both distilleries provided nice experiences with competent tour guides of their own and beautiful settings. I highly recommend this trip and at the price point I paid, consider it a bargain.

It’s a good trip to understand how the whiskey to be made. The guide of tour is very nice and acknowledged. Good to taste a few drops of whiskey. Strongly recommend !

Pete, our guide, was wonderful. He made the drive very interesting with his stories. We learned quite a bit of history. I also liked that it was a small group tour. I enjoyed the visit to Glengoyne Distillery. I learned about whiskey from smelling to tasting to the final finish. This was the first distillery that actually explained the process. Good tour!

The day lasted about 9 hours but went quick, there were enough breaks so we were not on the bus for too long at one time. The sights, visits and Whiskey tours were very good. It was well organised. Kelly was a nice and knowledgable guide.

Scott was great!!! Very knowledgeable, fun and interesting details of the places we visit and pass by.

The night before I was supposed to go I received a text saying they had canceled the trip. The driver was sick and they couldn’t find a replacement.

Excellent guide and equipment. Really enjoyed the narrative, music and sense of humor from Kevin. Highly recommend Rabbies.

Nick was a great tour guide and he gave an enough information for you to know exactly what’s going on and to figure out how to do-it-yourself if you had to

  12. Sarah_P

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Grant as guide. He was fantastic. We got to spend enough time at each stop, which I was worried about when browsing other trips that try to fit in a ton of stops, and the Glengoyne distillery tour in particular was so interesting and informative. We learned a lot more than expected all around and would definitely recommend this to others.

Glengoyne was very good, but Deanston was not interesting at all after Glengoyne, and not as good whiskey, and to little whiskey in the glasses. But it was a nice trip with a very good driver/speaker.Hard to hear sometimes.

Our tour guide Ewan was excellent. He made the experience fun and was very knowledgeable of history. We had great tours and tastings at both distilleries.

  15. Chris_S

The distilleries were wonderful, and the various stops for photo opportunities were great! Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing trip, definitely would do it again. The nature was fabulous. Big applause to our driver Alli , so much knowledge and experience , history tips. Very entertaining trip.

  17. Alyssa_T

We felt privileged to have Grant as our guide. He is very passionate about whiskey what it means to his heritage. The tour was informative and a great day seeing the Scottish countryside. The two distilleries were a fair contrast of traditional and modern distilling in Scotland. Also we really enjoyed the lunch on Loch Lomond with our group. Grant and the driver Colin were as delight and we would highly recommend this tour.

Great day with a very nice guide: Duncan. We were a small team to share this day trip. And we had a really good time! Simple, funny, everything was great. I didn’t regret a second my choice.

We wanted to get out of the city a little and this was perfect! We got some tidbits of the area history, 2 Distilleries and a great stop at Oak Tree Inn for a beautiful lunch. Andrew was an amazing host, answering all our questions. Thank you!
