Beautiful countryside, comfortable ride, informative commentary. Great experience all around. Special kudos to our guide, Cameron! A friendly, well informed young man with a passion for the history of his country! Especially good considering it was his first solo guiding experience! We predict he’ll become one of your top guides as he hones his craft as a storyteller!
Josh_B –
A pretty good day out for the price. The kelpies and Sterling Castle were amazing. The loch was neat to see.
Jennifer_J –
Jo was amazing. So much history shared and knowledge! We saw so much. There were plenty of stops which broke up the time. We had a 10 and 6 year old with us and they enjoyed, too!
Yolanda_M –
Mackenzie was a wonderful storyteller. He brought the trip to life as he regaled us with historical tales about and music from the land and the people. I highly recommend this tour.
Kavitha_M –
Service is worst. They are so rude. Not a proper communication. Not helpful at all.
You can do it by yourself.
Andrew_M –
Cameron was knowledgeable and helpful. Van was on schedule and easy to find. This was our first trip to Edinburgh. Destinations were interesting. Castles were amazing.
philip_c –
The Kelpies and Stirling Castle didn’t disappoint. Loch Lomond was a disappointment. Maybe it was because of our viewpoint at the dock at Balmaha maybe because it was raining at the time. I’m guessing I might have preferred a more panoramic view. Regardless, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing day.
Craig_L –
Stirling Castle was very interesting but the round a bout way of getting there along with the added cost was unpleasant. The Loch Lomond visit was equally underwhelming. I recommend the Loch Ness, Glencoe, Highlands tour above this one.
Marilyn_M –
We loved our tour with Russel! He was very interesting and made the day so enjoyable. Loch Lomond was beautiful and the Kelpies were amazing. We even enjoyed his corny jokes!
Roy_D –
Our driver was great but our experience was horrible. small group meant 16 tour goers in a van with me sitting in a half seat / jump seat five rows away from my partner. Because of the tight schedule imposed by the tour operator there were period of drive time between stops where the driver was forced to drive faster than necessary and half of the tour group was close to being car sick.
and finally the total amount of time spent in the van should be defined in the tour discription.
We were not prepared to spent over four hours in the van.

Duncan and Colin were wonderful guides–they were on top of all the details and had us singing on the bus and laughing at their jokes!
Pete_R –
William was a wonderful story teller and guide. Truly enjoyed this trip as we got a taste of Scotland 🏴

JuanF_H –
Al was very knowledgeable of this product. Kept us on time and we share a good time during the tour.
Astrid_M –
We had mixed weather and it gave the whole an extra touch with sunny and grey pics of the same site
The tour was well organised and our driver and guide Duncan made it an event. Music, stories, jokes..the 9 hours flew by, would book again anytime
Tamaran_S –
It was a lovely tour with lots packed in. Favorite is the Highland coos!!! They best part for me…..and the tour guide let us stay just a bit longer to feed them! 💝 Definitely recommend the tour. Andy was great and funny. We did drive down a road that curved back and forth at one point…maybe make sure you have something for motion/car sick. I was prepared thankfully😉
The road was beautiful and worth the curves.
Michael_H –
The fact that the guide hardly said a word in the 9 hour trip. We booked this expensive trip in a 12 passenger van instead of a 53 passenger coach because of all the great reviews we read about the guides providing a wealth of knowledge about Scotland in general and the places we were visiting in particular. He did neither. We did not expect to pay approximately $220.00 simply for a long van ride which included very inexpensive entry tickets to Stirling Castle. If we ever have an experience like that again in a tour booked through Viator, we will never use Viator again.

All were very good. Stephen our tour guide accommodated us with the schedule around rainy weather. He was very kind and knowledgeable. You are lucky to have him work for your company.
Victoria_C –
Highly recommend this day trip. Not too long, ample time at each spot. Be sure to wear hiking/walking shoes (cobblestone and hilly castle grounds, hiking the optional 1.5 miles around Loch Lommond). Carrie was knowledgeable, funny, and an overall great guide.

Nik was a great guide – very informative and funny. The trip was a really nice look at the countryside and Stirling Castle was beautiful. Nice amount of time for lunch and walking around – and not too much time on the bus. But Nik made the bus ride enjoyable with his stories and music.
