My mum and I took a lovely tour of the scenic Cotswolds with Simon and Gary. It was made even better by Simon’s excellent commentary along the way that was part a history of the Cotswolds and part an insightful lesson in etymology. Gary also had a wonderful sense of humour.
The duration of the tour was just nice and none of the villages we visited felt rushed or hectic. Really enjoyed ourselves!
Meaghan_M –
This tour is perfect for those that like to be “left to their own” on a journey. We really enjoyed the relaxed vibe it had. They drove us to 3 villages and gave us time to explore at each one.
If any criticism, we wish there was more time at the second stop. It was really pretty and 30 minutes felt too short.

Our tour guide, Debbie, was excellent. We had a wonderful trip and visit to the Cotswolds. We visited three beautiful villages and had plenty of time to stroll around, shop, and get a bite to eat. This is a beautiful area, and if you are spending a week in London, take a day or two and do an excursion to the English countryside – go to Viator and sign up for this tour. Delightful.

This experience was fine. You are dropped in several towns, with some time in each, and in some cases a brief informational explanation about a church or something. It was nice to see the towns, but the guide, while very nice, did not add much to the experience.
Kathryn_B –
A nice day in the countryside, however there is lots of bus time. Not much real “guiding.”
Disappointed that we did not see the famous street that you see in all the Cotswolds photos. Our escort was quite dull and boring.
Lisa_P –
Absolutely loved the Cotswolds! Quaint and beautiful!! It’s been the hilight of my England trip thus far.
Mitchell_W –
We had a wonderful time visiting the three communities and enjoyed walking, dining, shopping in all three.
Weather cooperated and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Most of time we walked on own through the villages as the guide was not needed. She had explained what to do, look for and gave us plenty of time to enjoy these villages.

Leslie was an excellent host and very friendly and knowledgeable. Derick the bus driver was awesome, considering Leslie had him driving down one lane country roads! LOL And that was another nice highlight in that we drove down the less beaten paths to get to our destinations, instead of driving on the main roads. That made for some nice scenic drives in the Cotswolds countrysides!
An overall, pleasant experience!

I was so looking forward to it, but the train strike delay caused me to miss the bus. I called viator but was told there are no refunds. There were no other buses or trains to Cotswolds for me to take and it was my last day in Europe. Are there any videos I could watch of Cotswolds?

Simon was a very knowledgeable guide. He was very witty and and told us stories about the origin of certain expressions as we traveled to our destination. The towns were lovely and we were blessed with beautiful weather. A picture perfect day in the English countryside.
Andy_B –
Tour was great and tour guide was OUTSTANDING !!!
Felt a bit rushed to see as much as possible at each stop.
We wished for a bit more time at the first two stops and last stop..
I unfortunately, we had less than 1 hour at each location.
Sights and guide were well worth the the time and money investment

The Cotswolds are exactly as advertised – beautiful.
Are guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and was a memorable part of the trip.

Our guide, Catia, was terrific, as was our driver (Mentor?). After visiting 3 beautiful villages, it’s obvious why the Cotswolds have been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The landscape, cloudscapes and old stones homes are absolutely beautiful. Catia was extremely well informed, funny, gracious and made the day unforgettable. We would definitely book another tour with her.
Audrey_G –
We went to three small villages that were really quaint and picturesque. It was lovely to walk around and browse the small shops. I loved all the old stone cottages and the stone walls.
VickieLynne_H –
Beautiful little scenic towns. It has the feeling of stepping back in time. Our guide she was very helpful and informative.
Michael_P –
We have spent a wonderful day at the Cotswolds in three of its most beautiful villages. Manon was a lovely guide. She surprised us with her profund knowledge.
Barbara_H –
It was a beautiful area, but IMO not worth the travel time (2+ hours each way) or the cost. Not even a bottle of water was offered during the 9 hour day and the tour guide was not the best. Too much emphasis on “what time are we due back to the bus?” after telling everyone the time. Twice. And cabs are very expensive from the Cotswolds, she told us. Meh. Lovely stone houses and buildings but too much time to spend shopping. Better value and interest on other yours we’ve taken.
Marcus_S –
Lovely trip, our guide Norma was nice and personable. And the pace was nice and easy. Recommend this if you want something easy going.
Sandra_F –
Our guide, Simon, really knew his British history and shared his knowledge with us during the bus ride. Simon told what to expect at each stop, gave excellent advise on what to see/do during our free time, and made this excursion a wonderful experience! Being in a small group was an added plus, as well.

Just viewing the countryside and the villages. Except for most of the homes and buildings not having thatched rooftops, it was pretty much what I thought it would be. Simon and Eddie were just peachy. My fellow travelers were very nice and all seemed to enjoy the day.
