Leslie, our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The bus was clean and comfortable and the tourist attractions very interesting. It would have been nice to spend more time at Windsor Castle, but with the time/travel constrains I’m not sure that is possible. Evans Tours were helpful and easy to communicate with.

generally great tour mostly thanks to Phil, such a great, informative, funny guide. on the other side, lack of time at Windsor and Oxford.
the main issue was the lack of time at Windsor. it initially seemed as though you have there 1.5-2 hours (because we arrived early, an hour before they open the castle, and all the reviews mention that your have at least 1.5 hours), but in fact we only had about an hour, and there was a line to the entrance of the rooms even inside the castle. also we were suggested to use this time to buy some food as well (not mandatory but definitely preferred since there wasn’t a lot of time to stop and buy food). so eventually it felt really rushed and not as enjoyable as it could have been. it was disappointing because i think the tour could have been longer for as least half an hour since we came back at proximately 7pm, and this time could be used at Windsor castle which is such an incredible place to see and totally worth it.
Stonehenge was great and really fascinating, we had less than an hour there and it’s enough time to experience this place in my opinion. Phil was great and offered to take everyone’s picture there, great pictures! it was really cool of him 🙂
Oxford was beautiful and to me it was really worth a visit. again, I don’t think we had enough time there, but it’s understandable. we had about 45 minutes tour with the guide and it was really interesting and extensive. but we had only about 25 minutes free time there which didn’t allow enough time to grab some food after a day ( without any actual food stops really) and at the same time to explore the city myself. I really recommend going to Oxford alone so you can experience everything without stress.
about the food stops – I recommend to organize alone and bring some sandwiches, otherwise you’ll have to dedicate you’re time at the attractions for that, which really isn’t enough to explore the place itself.

Simon and Sam were top notch! Really enjoyed my tour. It’s hard to see so many special places in England but they made our short time worthwhile.
If you are someone that likes to stand and read every historic sign or amble aimlessly this tour isn’t for you. I personally loved it but I can see where some people who want to do things on their time wouldn’t.

One of the best tours ever! Espedailly because of the wonderful Mel Adam’s he made the entire experience wonderful. His knowledge of history and landmarks is impressive. The whole tour felt like we were just hanging out in great company with friends. Mel kept us all well informed and entertained. Windsor Castle was my favorite stop along the way. I initially was concerned bout the time and the commute time in between stops however the schedule allowed enough time to see and experience everything we wanted to see. The day FLEW by and was over as quickly as it started. Wonderful experience Thank you

If you want to visit Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, I highly recommend this tour. Our guide Deborah and bus driver were superb. Professional and friendly. Very specific about drop off points and when the bus would be leaving. Honestly, my wife and I have done a number of tours overseas and in the Caribbean and this is one of our favorites. Didn’t really care to go to Oxford, but Deborah gave us good information about the different colleges there and the rivalry with Cambridge. An excellent day!

Great tour to catch a lot of a lot of different areas. Was fast, but perfect. Stonehenge was the highlight of this tour. We could have done without Oxford, but still nice to see another area of UK.

  8. Hazel_C

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and nice . Well organized a bit rushed but no other way if you want to see all 3 sites in one day . Beautiful places !

It was a long day, but well worth it. Three amazing places to visit all in one trip. I wish we’d had more time at Windsor Castle. One could spend a whole day there. Oxford was brief: just walking through the streets, however, our guide was well versed in telling us about Oxford (and the other places) in his 27 years of doing this. If you didn’t know the history of Oxford, or hear it from a guide, it seems like about any other college town, yet with older buildings. Stonehenge was eerily cool. If you are in south England, you have to see it as a “bucket list” item. The tour guide gives you a sheet with RFID markers in it to tap a Vox Box with earphones to, and it tells you about various parts of Stonehenge. At the other two places, he uses the Vox Box to communicate with the group, telling the stories and history of wherever you are. Along the route, he’ll point out random places of interest….such as where Alfred Hitchcock lived!
Wifi on the bus was hit & miss. There was a toilet, but nobody used it….several places to stop along the way. Bus was a comfortable new Mercedes, with reclining seats and decent AC. The driver had some mad skilz….I have no idea how he so nimbly maneuvered that rig in such tight places!
Food is scarce, so bring snacks/sandwiches and drinks.
If I did it again: I would do just Windsor and Stonehenge.

Looking at all of the art in Windsor Castle. I also enjoyed the objets d’art given to HRH QE II by various nations. The guide, Nicholas, enhanced the trip with his commentary. His knowledge of English history, especially about the monarchs, was impressive. It was a day well spent but not enough time in Oxford.

Walking around Windsor castle was informative but sorry didn’t check to see if the tour included your inside. Enjoyed the history and Stonehenge was amazing. Oxford was very interesting.

We had a lovely time with the tour! The coach bus was very comfortable. Our tour guide Manon was excellent as she was knowledgeable, funny and soft spoken with a very calming voice. She gave us also great tips on where to get the food during the trip. The stops at the three places were ample for taking pictures and walking around. The only things that could be better would be the wifi on the bus which didn’t work consistently and also the footnote during booking where it said Windsor Castle closed during Tuesday and Wednesday that was not very clearly marked. But overall I’d highly recommend this tour for people that just need a quick tour of these three famous places near London.

Our guide and driver were wonderful. We toured a few days before the Queens funeral. Everywhere was busy, but our driver and guide handled it with grace. We wanted to see everything during this time, it was amazing. The vox box didn’t work in Windsor, that is the only reason for the 4 stars. Luckily she found another one to use for the rest of the trip!

Getting out of Central London and seeing a bit of the countryside was great! Windsor Castle is beautiful- would love to go back sometime and spending time in the town of Windsor. Stonehenge was a great experience- glad for opportunity!

Andy Godwin was our guide. He clearly knew & loved the history of the area, and was a nice guy. I wish Windsor, Stonehenge, & Oxford were a little closer so that we could have spent more time in them. But, this was a “taste”, so that, when we come back we’ll know what’s going on when we come back to visit these places individually. It’s nice to go with a guided group your 1st time.

It is a very pleasant day to visit Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford. The tour guide was knowledgeable, polite and diligent. His instructions were very clear. He made sure everyone is back to the bus each time. He gave us some tips about the eatery at each stop.

  17. Cristina_M

Our guide, Saul, was very friendly and gave us a lot of interesting information.
It was a bit of dissapointment though not to see Windsor castle on the inside (it was mentioned in the online description but I hadn’t paid attention to it). All in all, I recommend the tour, it is good value for money.

  18. Cindy_B

Excellent value for money and had a fabulous time- a great day trip to see England’s fabulous cultural and historical sites

  19. Adriana_G

Excellent way of one day escape from overcrowded London, enjoying royalty of UK (at Windsor), going back deeply in the past (Stonehenge) and becoming “smarter” in the end when in Oxford.
Very informative guide (Gottfried) working for Evan Evans, providing interesting information on all 3 places, without overwhelming us with too much infornation.
Worth to embark in this adventure with Evan Evans
