This was such a great experience!! The process is so much fun! I loved making all 3 dishes and my hostess made the experience even more fun. My tenants daughter was with me and she enjoyed this experience as well! Would definitely recommend!

Mersad was a fantastic chef and excellent teacher. He walked us through making tiramisu, linguine and ravioli from scratch. It was part cooking class and part comedy routine; he engaged every member of our small group. Restaurant staff cooked the pasta we made. Appetizers, wine, pasta and tiramisu were included. YOU WILL BE FULL AFTER THIS. A lovely view of a city street through the restaurant’s front window.

A pasta and tiramisu cooking glass in Rome is a must do. Our table of 12 quickly became a family as we made our pasta and tiramisu together. Mara was a fantastic chef who provided us tips and tricks for making the best Roman pasta fettuccini and ravioli and tiramisu. What a fun evening, thanks Mara for the recipe’s and memories.

Amazing experience. Created delicious food and dessert with Sonia and Mersad. They were very kind and knowledgable, we learned so many tips and tricks. They provided a complimentary cookbook and we’re looking forward to making the recipes at home.

Carlo was amazing! I liked the idea of scheduling a cooking class for my family as a great way to learn but also as a break from all of the sight-seeing. I read many descriptions and reviews of different offerings and decided on this one as I thought it just sounded nicer than many others. It was a bit more expensive than some of the offerings, but it was absolutely worth it. First, our whole class was my family (husband and I and kids aged 17 & 15) and one other couple. The class was late afternoon before the restaurant opened. We had drinks and appetizers to start, then made our tiramisu, then made fettuccini and ravioli. Our meal was delicious and we were all absolutely stuffed when it was through. Carlo was awesome. He helped us and made us laugh at the same time. We loved our food and actually think we might be able to recreate it again once we are home. They emailed us a recipe book after the class was over so we will definitely have fun trying!
I had reached out before scheduling this class because one of my sons has food allergies and I wanted to make sure he would be able to participate in everything safely. I had good communications with Viator and Carlo was aware when we arrived. All worked pretty well…my son was not able to eat the appetizers but he was able to eat the pasta. The tiramisu was a bit of a disappointment as we learned while there that the ladyfingers are purchased from somewhere and after googling them on our own we found out they were not safe for him so he did not try the dessert. I wish that would have been known in advance, but with that being the only holdup, we still would have done it.

Our teacher Gui was amazing; so enthusiastic and helpful. His instructions were clear and he made us all laugh a lot. The classes are well organised and professional and I would definitely recommend to others. I would have loved to have learned to make a pasta sauce in addition to the actual pasta, but of course this would need to be in a longer class. It’s also in a great neighborhood, away from the intense touristy areas. A good excuse to go and experience a bit more of a ‘local’ feel. The whole experience was excellent.

The best part was making and eating the pasta, surprised by the difference in taste between fresh pasta v. boxed. The chefs were friendly, and encouraging. There were 4 options for sauces for the pasta and it would have been nice to talk about the differences in sauces. Definitely a worthwhile time.

This experience was wonderful! Very informative for practical cooking techniques how to make pasta, ravioli and tiramisu! There was a fun group maybe 30 people which included couples and families with teenagers. It exceeded our expectations we went back to the same restaurant the next evening for delicious pizza!

I will never forget this cooking adventure. We enjoyed learning how to make homemade pastas and the dessert. The chef was great, he was very energetic and passionate about teaching the class. The best part of the class was eating the delicious dinner!

Mara was a great teacher/chef. It was a great experience for the family. Enjoyed making the pasta and desert while drinking some wine as well. Highly recommended.

The guide was a younger gentleman and he was very passionate about the food coming out just right. The batter for the tiramisu was a little runny, so he tried very hard to fix it. We appreciated his insistence! The pasta is what threw me off. We each had our own ingredients to kneed and make/shape the pasta and ravioli. However, I had no idea that we would be combining everyone’s pasta and ravioli together and our dinner would be shared amongst the group. Besides my germophobia kicking in, the pasta and ravioli was being boiled so I was able to overlook that. But not everyone in the group did a good job kneading their dough or shaping the ravioli. So some of the pasta was too hard, too big, or did not have as much filling as I preferred for the ravioli that I made myself. All of these things were a turn-off for me, so I barely ate. I would have preferred to be in an actual kitchen with our own pots… For $90 per person, that is what I was expecting. A major plus is that the company was able to accommodate us after our train was cancelled. We missed half of our class, so they graciously allowed us to return on a different day. We were very thankful for that. Another plus are the people you meet. Having conversation with other travelers adds to the experience. One word of advice for the chef who lead this tour: Please be kind to the customers. He was a bit brash in terms of his jokes. There was one particular young lady that I felt he was picking on a bit. It was all in good fun, but it was just too much and he came off quite rude at times. She was a good sport about it, but I would have not appreciated being the butt of a stranger’s jokes. When I do not know you that well, I am less likely to take jokes in a light way. There were just too many jokes and he also seemed to get frustrated with her and others in the group if they didn’t follow directions. I believe he should have found a better way to communicate his frustration. Other than that, he was a nice guy. He even found a hotel for a few travelers whose AirBnB was cancelled last minute. Overall, it was an Okay experience.

I had made pasta before, but learned better technique. Tiramisu was new and fun. Learned some off-beat facts – ricotta is not cheese. Enjoyed visiting with the class over wine. Superb couple of hours.

The chef made it fun for all ages. He added humor and kept things moving along. Nice to have the bruschetta and wine in between making the tiramisu and pasta. Teens loved it!

We had a wonderful time during this cooking class. My wife and I were joined by two other couples and a single. Together we all bonded and cooked. The food was excellent and we will be using the lessons learned in our own cooking at home. Our host and chef, Samuele, was fun, engaging and a great teacher. His passion for cooking really showed through during the class. We would recommend this experience to others that are interested in taking cooking classes in Rome.
