Milos Kleftiko Guide: Sea Caves, Boat Tours, Snorkelling and Pirate Hideout Views

Milos Kleftiko is one of the most famous natural sights on Milos Island in Greece, known for dazzling white volcanic cliffs, sea arches, hidden caves, turquoise water and boat trips that stop for swimming and snorkelling. Set on the wild south-western coast of Milos, Kleftiko feels more like a natural sea sculpture than a normal beach.

For many travellers, a boat trip to Kleftiko Caves is the highlight of a Milos holiday. Boats anchor in the clear water, guests swim through rock arches, snorkel around caves, photograph the white cliffs and hear stories of pirates once using the area as a hideout.

Kleftiko is not a typical organised beach with umbrellas, tavernas and road access. It is best experienced by boat, usually from Adamas, Kipos, Pollonia or another Milos departure point depending on the tour. Some adventurous visitors may hike toward viewpoints in the wider area, but the classic Kleftiko experience is from the sea.
