Dinh Bà Thủy Long Thánh Mẫu Phu Quoc Guide: Sacred Temple in Duong Dong

Dinh Bà Thủy Long Thánh Mẫu: A Sacred Phu Quoc Temple in Duong Dong

Dinh Bà Thủy Long Thánh Mẫu is one of the most meaningful spiritual sites in Duong Dong, Phu Quoc. Also known as Dinh Bà Phu Quoc or Dinh Bà Temple, it is dedicated to Thủy Long Thánh Mẫu, a revered mother-goddess figure connected with water, the sea and the island’s early stories of protection and settlement.

Located around 44 Võ Thị Sáu, Dương Đông, Phú Quốc, the temple is close to several of the island’s most practical visitor areas, including Dinh Cau, Phu Quoc Night Market, the waterfront and central Duong Dong hotels. It is not a large attraction like a beach resort or island tour, but it is a worthwhile cultural stop if you want to understand Phu Quoc beyond beaches, cable cars and snorkelling trips.

The temple is colourful, compact and atmospheric, with ornate gates, dragon details, altars, incense, offerings and a quiet devotional feel. For travellers, it works best as part of a gentle Duong Dong town walk, especially when paired with Dinh Cau, the night market and a sunset by the sea.
