We very much enjoyed the history of the Tower of London. Our guide, Marc, was very knowledgeable and shared many stories of the tower/fortress/castle, many of which had a dark side. We highly recommend this tour.

The Tower of London and Crown Jewels is a memorable experience. Meeting with the Beefeater was very interesting. Great experience. Disappointed though that we had to wait in line with the crowd to get in. I thought all the extra money we paid would have included a VIP entry.

The tour in and of itself was good, but the description of the tour was misleading. We were told qwe would have skip the line abilities but were led to the end of the line for entry into the Tower.It was claimed to be a VIP tour but the guide only took us to the entry of the Crown Jewels and left us and then connected back to continue the tour. The only advantage a VIP tour seemed to have been tthe skip the line entry which we definitely did not have. I recommend just getting in line an touring at your own pace. There were plenty of the Beefeaters available to question throughout the tour so even the personal meeting was limited.

I felt very misled about this tour. I thought a beefeater was going to be our guide the entire time. Our main goal for this tour was to see the Crown Jewels. Many if the jewels were not on display due to the coronation in a week.

The tour itself I’m sure would have been good, but we didn’t have a good tour guide. He was interested more in hearing himself talk about his knowledge than taking care of his customers. It was raining hard and very cold yet he had us standing outside while he talked. He could have explained inside where it was warm and dry or save the insignificant chatter for later. We ended up leaving early.

Experienced a charming guide and with extensive historical presence provided an extraordinary tour of the Tower(s) of London property. Well paced. Timed entry into the Crown Jewels to beat the crowd. Articulate very pleasant gentleman who captured the essence of the rich history and genuinely shared his personal wisdom with the group. Expertly managed and was respectful of the 25 participants. Provided ample time to intermittently explore areas alone. Clear in all communication and interjected humor and anecdotes. Excellent time spent and would highly recommend.

We were late upon arrival (caught the wrong tube)- however, the central service representative was able to get in touch with our guide, Mark, and in no time, we met up with our group. Mark was exceptionally knowledgeable, personal and knows the ins and outs of all the lines. Would recommend booking the early am slot to avoid the line to see the jewels. Excellent job Mark!

Our guide was very knowledgeable while we were with him but when we went in to see the Crown Jewels and came out we realized we and another family got left behind!! We continued on our own and with their expert commentary (which is why we purchased the tour!). Overall, good but the tour itself ended up being disappointing.

The tour is good for getting you in early to see the crown jewels before the massive mobs of people get in the line. The guides were very knowledgeable about the tower and made it easy to see everything. We just didn’t get to meet with a beefeater because of a scheduling problem, but everything else was great.

We were five minutes late to the meeting point because of bad traffic and the guide left without us! I tried sending a message and calling Viator and the guide emailed me, no text message, to tell me where he was! Who checks their email for a meeting location ??? Absolutely terrible experience!!!

We had a great guide for the tour. Meeting a real Beefeater was a great extra. We learned so much about the history of England, both good and bad. We highly recommend this early VIP tour. The gates opened at 9 am and by 11 it was packed. The ques were short but by noon they were very long. Plan at least 4 hours for this tour. Once the guided portion is complete, you will want to stay and see more.

Marc was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and made the history of the Tower come to life. Walking through 1000 years of amazing history and seeing the Crown Jewels made for a great day. We recommend an early morning tour to allow you to see the Crown Jewels without waiting in a long line.

The Beefeater was AMAZING and really, the only saving grace on this tour. Well worth the price for that alone. The tour guide was just ok. Not super knowledgeable for a blue badge so that was disappointing. If you’re going to do this – spend the money for meeting the beefeater!
