So happy we decided on this tour! It was the number one thing I wanted to go see while in London. The opening ceremony is a must see if you want to immerse yourself into history of the Tower of London.. Rachel our guide was amazing! So knowledgeable and had an amazing attitude. We did go off on our own so we could spend more time inside and missed the last part of the tower bridge tour.. would have loved to spend more time listening to Rachel talk about the tower bridge.. but I just wanted longer inside to look at everything.

The behind the scenes unlocking and opening of the Tower of London was great and would be the only way I want to do it in the future. The only reason the rating isn’t 5 out of 5 is because of our guide.
We were told to be there at 8:00am SHARP for an 8:15 am tour start and were warned not to be late because the tour would start without us. The opening of The tower of London wont wait for late tourists. So, about 20 of us were there at the appointed time, but no guide. We waited until 8:15, the tour start time, and still no guide. After some searching, several of us found the phone number of the company and started calling.
We were assured that the guide was on her way and would be there any moment.
At about 8:20am, the guide shows up and starts a hurried pace to the tower, giving brief comments during the trek that were hard for many of us to hear since she was not speaking loudly, facing away from us, and walking quickly to make up for her tardiness. The guide even hurried through a crosswalk right before the light changed, leaving many of us to wait for traffic to proceed before we could jay-walk across to catch up to her.
Once we got to the tower and the tour started things were great. However, I would have given this a 5 out of 5 rating if the guide had been better.

Honestly, this was the best part of our trip to London. Our tour guide, Rob, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgable ad had a great sense of humor while also being compassionate given some of the heavy subject matter on the tour. Truly a 5-star experience in making a core memory for my son and I to cherish. Highly recommend.

Maria was a great guide. She was knowledgeable and shared various historical facts with us. She also gave us time to wander on our own within the Tower of London. This tour included witnessing the opening ceremony and learning some historical information about the ceremonies from a Beefeater, viewing of the Crown Jewels, and access inside the various structures within the Tower of London. This tour also included the Tower Bridge and a pass to check out the engine rooms and learn more about the operation of the bridge and the people who have worked there.

This particular tour is the early ‘pre-open’ of the Tower and Crown jewels. I highly recommend this tour. We had plenty of time before the crowds to enjoy many of the lesser known or seldom seen characteristics of the guards and the unlocking of the gates. We were able to spend a lot more time viewing the jewels without crowds. The Tower portion was incredible and our guide was very informative.

Loved the history of the Tower of London!!! It is fascinating to hear about every detail and Rob knew it all! It was so special to meet the Beefeaters, to tour the Crown Jewels first (the only was to really see them), and then to learn about all of the other purposes in the tower. The conclusion of us just walking across the bridge was just a bonus. So thankful that Rob was my guide because he customized the tour to each one of our interests. It was wonderful!!
