This event was awesome! So much fun! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and was there for us in the event we had questions. She also gave us just enough information at breaks to explain who the wrestlers were and why the crowds were so excited to see them. It was a great experience and I will definitely book again!

Our guide was amazing. She was an actual sumo fan, not just a local. She would “fan-girl” over sumos and teach us how to cheer. It was such a great experience. Could not recommend enough.
The tour gives good instructions on where to meet BUT we were not the only English speaking tourists to barely find the meeting spot. I would recommend finding it before hand.

Best experience. So happy we choose to see Sumo Wrestling with a tour. The info from the guide was priceless to elevate our time in the stadium and provide some history as well. So much fun!!!

Amazing experience the sumo matches were so exciting and Kazumi was an excellent guide, always happy to answer questions and explain interesting back stories.

Great show and a great tour guide. Shame it was so expensive £70 approx for a £30 approx ticket. I doubt the guide saw much of the uplift!
You asked for a minimum number of characters, I would have stopped after the first sentence.

Very enjoyable experience with a knowledgeable guide, Seiji, who knows all about sumo. Whether you are a complete novice to sumo or have been to see it before he can answer your questions as you watch the sumo bouts and ceremonies. Recommended!

What a great first afternoon on our return to Tokyo. We were lucky enough to join the final afternoon tour of the May Sumo tournament. Our tour guide had a passionate interest and understanding of the Sumo bouts. We sat with a couple from Canada who were dedicated International fans and this was a bonus. They knew all the players and the importance of each bout and the skills and strengths of players. I think they had joined the tour because tickets were sold out else where but they were great companions. It was festive and joyous. I’d go again.
I think I will go back to Australia and watch the matches on YouTube.

The tickets that you get are not as good as ones you could buy yourself for the same price of this experience. However, the sumo tickets sell out quickly and we had no choice. Although we would have liked better seats it was great to have a guide to help answer questions on a fascinating sports with a lot of idiosyncrasies and history. Plus you had free reign to walk around the stadium whenever you wanted to you could see different angles from the hallways if you wanted to. Overall, I think this is a great way to enjoy a unique sports and it’s culture without having to navigate the confusion if you had to do it yourself

Rare opportunity to see sumo wrestling. Guide spoke English well. She escorted us around the arena’s exhibits and throughout the tournament explained the strategies employed and the judges rulings making it an enriching and educational experience as well as fun.

Our guide Yukio was absolutely incredible! Not only did he share his knowledge about sumo with us, but he was so generous and kind and shared so much other wisdom and tips about Japan. Truly the best tour guide we’ve ever had.

Tour guide Yuco made the experience fun and provided a lot of interesting information as well as giving her personal perspective on Sumo,

It was nice to experience the venue and atmosphere of the wrestling. Unfortunately, our guide could not speak English well enough to give explanations or answer questions.

The tournament itself was a fun event to attend.
What would have made it way more interesting if our guide was more engaged. She offered very little in terms of explanation ( only if asked a question directly), was very hard to hear. Prior to the tournament, she just brought us to the Sumo Museum – no walking with us discussing the museum items, nothing – just stood there waiting for us to go around the museum hall.
I am disappointed.

Kate was such a great tour guide. It was very cool to see such a traditional sport and learn of the history while there.
Lucy_I –
The sumo was excellent and it was great to get an inside understanding of what was happening. I would recommend.

Seeing the Sumo matches was fantastic. Our guide was very nice but hard to spot at the beginning and in a crowded area. He should have something tall and bright with him.

Our guide kaz was a reír sino fan, she explained in a very simple manner rules and tradition, we lived immersing ourselves in the culture! 100% would recommend!
Kevin_U –
Once in a lifetime – I learned so much and the seats were excellent. Our guide was very smart on the matter and answered all our questions. We’ll worth the money and it’s nice to have other people around you that are into learning about this amazing sport. Also you can bring in beer and food lol so have fun!

Yoshino was the most incredible guide, she explained the history of sumo and provided useful commentary as to what was happening. An unforgettable experience!

Attending the final day of the September Sumo Tournament in Tokyo was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Yuri, was wonderful- friendly, informative, considerate & helpful. Although the seats were in Section B of the upper level, there was still a clear view of the sumo wrestlers. Although it’s much cheaper to buy tickets directly from the providers, we found it impossible to get them online, so this was the best alternative to that. Nice to have a guide showing the way & explaining different aspects of the tournament. Would definitely recommend!
