From hotel pick-up to drop-off, we had a wonderful day at Pena Palace, Sintra, Caba Roca and Cascais. David was an informed guide and cared that we had a memorable experience. You might think that 8 hours is too much. Let me assure you that the day flew by! We saw so much yet it wasn’t overload.

The guide didn’t go with us in Peña palace to introduce the history. He didn’t go to the Cabo de Roca point to see the sign. Instead he stopped at another beach to see Cabo de Roca from long distance. In Cascais, he didn’t go with the group for a tour.

This was a very pleasant day trip. Our guide, Bruno, was very sweet and knowledgeable and his recommendations were on point. The Pena palace has amazing gardens, Sintra village is very charming and Cascais is great if you want fresh fish. Wish there could be more free time at every stop to explore better, but we had to move on.

Everything as good as described. Tiago was very friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. He genuinely cares about his guests. He bought tickets for Pena Palace ahead of time to avoid the crowds and gave us good tips to explore destinations. We rode with a fun group of people and I’m sure every single one of them enjoyed it as much as I did. Good value for money too!
I’m normally skeptical of online reservations and rarely write reviews but a close friend recommended viator. Very transparent and well thought app. I’ve had nothing but good experiences so far.

This was a great tour. Touring Pena Palace and visiting both Sintra and Cascais (Sintra is the small town Pena Palace is located in and Cascais is a beach town that we got to eat in) was a lot of fun. I would however say that this is a semi-self directed tour. While the tour guide gave us tons of background information on our way to each destination, we were pretty much on our own once we got there and from what I saw, there were definitely other tours where that was not the case especially inside Pena Palace (although the tour guide did explain that the palace maintainers themselves would prefer tour guides not speak to much indoors). Still would definitely reccommend it though.
