Our guide, Sabina, meet us promptly at 9:00. She was truly the highlight of our trip to Sintra. Her knowledge of not just Sintra but Lisbon and Portugal gave us a better understanding of what we saw and experienced. She was a member of our family almost immediately.
A trip to the Sintra area should not be missed. The palaces are the main attractions but the surrounding garden and countryside are just as incredible.

Vasco picked us up early and to my surprise my dad and I were the whole group!
The whole day was wonderful. Vasco seemed like an old friend who was showing us around his city. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and an overall excellent tour guide.
We started at the National Palace before having a coffee/pastry break.
Then it was off to explore the grounds of Quinta da Regaleira. Wow!
Next up was lunch at the perfect beachfront restaurant. Then we were off to the end of the world, aka Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe. The views are incredible!
We ended the day at Peña Palace.
The whole experience was wonderful and exceeded my expectations.

The tour guide arrived to our hotel in time. She was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information throughout the trip. We had enough time at each place to visit and walk around. She was also trying to accommodate our requests to spend more time in some locations or see additional places. We were taken for lunch to an amazing restaurant at the beach which a beautiful view at the Atlantic ocean.

If you can do only one day trip from Lisbon this is the one! Our guide Anait was wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, but more importantly she was compassionate and caring and made sure our older grandparents and our kids had a great safe experience. Our tour with Tatiana was amazing!! It was a full day packed with all the sights of Sintra, and Tatiana was super knowledgeable about the history and culture surrounding all of the spots we visited. It was a little chilly and pretty foggy most of the day, but the tour was still incredible and Tatiana’s humor and good attitude definitely kept our spirits up. 10/10, will recommend to anyone coming to Portugal!

Our tour of Sintra was thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide Anna was friendly and informative. She was completely familiar with the tour locations and answered our many questions. We talked freely about many topics in addition to the tour. Sintra was full of tourists like us, and Anna was able to maneuver us around and outside the town and the special sites, and to the fronts of the right lines. I don’t know how we would have been able to see all we did without her guidance.

Our tour was at least 8 hours. In that time frame we did see a lot. Depending on your interest more time could have been spent in some of the gardens in Sintra. There are many palaces, castles and places to visit. Actually there was not enough time to see “everything “. I feel we definitely got a taste and feel for Sintra in the 1 full day visit. The tiles inside the National Palace of Sintra were beautiful along with the details of some of the furnishings. The history and stories that went along with reach room were interesting. The outside Peña Palace was colorful and kind of fairy taleish.
