Conner, our driver and guide was a fountainhead of stories and historical facts. The Jacobite steam train was the highlight of the trip. As a railfan, riding behind a steam locomotive is always a special treat with a loud exhaust barking as we climbed the grades. I highly recommend the entire Highlands tour experience.

A really good trip Tom Our driver was really good and informative ,amazing scenery , a must for any harry potter fan, only thing that lets its down is not enough time at places when you stop and lack of photo Opportunies while travelling, this is due to driving time restrictions , a long day out but a good day out,

Great stories and information shared by the guide, Steve. Absolutely gorgeous views at every point throughout the Highlands. Loads of Harry Potter references.

Steve, our driver/guide for the day was very knowledgeable about various points of interest in our journey. Put to bed false stories told through movies of events through history of Scotland. The scenery was amazing. Feel inspired to return and visit the west coast of Scotland a little more in depth. It is a long day and I wouldn’t advise for younger children. But it was nice to sit back and enjoy Scotlands beautiful landscape.
Oh and please remember to close the windows while travelling on the steam train. Especially when passing through a tunnel, as some of our fellow passengers found out the hard way.

Our tour guide, Connor, was excellent. Always putting safety first and shared his extensive knowledge of Scottish history relevant to the locations we visited.

Connor was a great host… both knowledgeable and funny. Thank you. It takes the entire time, meaning the view from the train wasn’t ideal and the restaurants at Mallaig were packed. But that’s not the control of the tour. Wish r had been assigned stars in the right side of the train for gong over the aqueduct.

Amazing way to see a lot of Scotland in a day. Beautiful views both on and off of the bus. A very complete tour

Connor was a great tour guide & driver. Pity Viator didn’t inform me of the change in departure point. Expense for taxi from60 High street to bus station @ 7am could have been avoided. It only takes an email Viator….

I brought this trip for my husbands 40th birthday the driver even got the whole bus to sing happy birthday. 5star trip

Connor was absolutely amazing as a driver and guide. Not only did we get lots of history on the areas we drove through, but we also got lots of laughs and surprises like haggis chips and chocolate frog “biscuits” after the train ride. He was also great to recommend places to try on our stops as well as when coming back to Edinburgh. Great day trip and a must do!

We had the tour through the scottish Highlands with a good Organisation and our Tour Guide Cara Informed the participants with a lot of knowledge. Very impressive landscape and the Drive with the jacobite steam train was also a highlight. In the end it lasts about 13 hours. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

Came for the Hogwarts Express, stayed for Connor. This man made our day and he is the best. The tour itself wasn’t as expected to be honest, but as I said Connor just made the best of it. Thank you very much!

It was Harry Potter and so much more!! Concurrent aficionados of Outlander, Trainspotting, and James Bond will also get a thrill from this experience. After this tour, one will understand how the majestic beauty of the Highlands continues to inspire and captivate.

Dusty was an incredible historical story teller which made the travel so interesting. We enjoyed the quaint towns that we stopped in and the view of the viaduct.

Whole purpose of the trip was the Jacobite/Hogwarts train. It was double booked and after 25 minutes of 60 people arguing over 30 seats, our group was escorted off the train and rebooked for 3 hours later! This made a 13 hour tour, in excess of 16 hours; and we had another tour booked next day. Our guide worked hard to make the best of it; and it was not his fault. However, this was a Major problem for our group (seniors) for dietary issues and potentially devastating medication delays. The only appropriate response is a rebate; not a credit that cannot be used, but at the very least, a partial refund!
