Ewan was a wonderful guide, funny, well versed ln fascinating Scotland history and fun antidotes, gave great information about the filming locations we visited as well as other places we passed by, though not a non-stop chatter. Absolutely would recommend to anyone, a fan of the show/books or not! A wonderful day out!

The guide did not know much about Outlander and hardly spoke of it at all. I was so disappointed that we were given no information about the TV series or the places we were seeing. He also appeared to be annoyed by Outlander as he spoke negatively about it when he did talk about it. I am a huge Outlander fan and I felt really cheated of what could have been a really fun tour!

Gordon was fantastic. I loved this tour. My only complaint was I couldn’t see Lallybroch, because they were filming. Although I said I could be quiet…I was told no.

Owen was a nice guy but he knew barely nothing about Outlander. I was hoping for a guide to give us antidotes, trivia, etc. He is very passionate about history (and how wrong the film Braveheart is 😂) and he should maybe stick to more historical tours. However, it was great to visit the Outlander filming locations. It’s also not a good tour for someone who has difficulty walking. Lots of walking up and down hills.

Blackness Castle and Doune Castle were highlights.
The guide was not as knowledgeable as he should be, plus he provided little personality. I had to ask him to connect the sight with the TV series. Also had to ask where the next stop would be.
The driver did a great job – very responsible driving but could barely understand his thick accent.

The walks in some of the neighborhoods was enlightening about the real Scotland, beyond what was the tie in to filming of the show. I do wish the guide went with us for part of the in-town walks to add color in the moment instead of before we got there. The guide did a good job of storytelling, it was engaging and informative, but the PA sometimes didn’t work properly which made hearing difficult.

Do not miss this tour it was covered a lot! Enjoyed Midhope Castle. Our guide was very informative and professional.
DWAYNE_H –
Our driver/guide was Cliff and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable of Scottish history and landmarks, but with his audience of Outlander fans he had pics on his phone of key scenes from the show, for us to view when we arrived at those sites. Really was an incredible tour. Truly wonderful.
Michele_B –
I was grateful to see the sites. However, the bus was packed primarily with tour trainees, including the driver who could not operate the vehicle. Customers were forced to sit in the back of the bus. The lead tour guide could have cared less about any of us, had no recommendations for our stops and shared inaccurate facts on scenes from Outlander. Extremely disappointed. I am certain there are far better tour companies.

Getting the experience to visit these filming locations was awesome. The whole team were super nice and knowledgable. They made the ride and day fun although the day was gloomy (weather wise).

Amazing trip! It was nice to see all the outlander filming locations. Our tour guide Euan was very informative and you can tell hes passionate about this beautiful country.

We had a great day. Our driver Dusty was great. He knew the Outlander story and was able to relay the different places and their relevance. Apart from the Outlander places you also get to see a lot of nice scenery.

Seeing the various filming spots. I wish there was a handout so we knew exactly where specific shots were taken however

We had a great time visiting Midhope Castle, Doune Castle, Culcross, Falkland Village and Blackness Castle. We had plenty of time at every stop to see all of the Outlander film locations and had a fantastic driver/guide, Connor. It was a wonderful day!!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the Outlander sites – including several castles, and the village of Culross (aka Cranesmuir) where we had a lovely lunch at the Biscuit Café. Our guide, Alistair, entertained us with stories and historical details to enhance the experience. A great day overall!

My rating is solely on the treatment I’m getting from viator. I arrived 2 min late due to my bus from Glasgow being delayed by detours. The bus still at the station and they refused to let me on, it sat there for another 3-4 min, would’ve taken me 30 seconds to get home on. Viators response, sorry for your luck, not even a partial refund offered, worst customer service ever!!!

Brilliant tour- apart from the beautiful locations, big shoutout to our guide, Euan, who proved to be an amazing storyteller! Would definitely recommend it!
