Amazing experience. There is so much to see. The tour started with a train ride, followed by a bus to the studio. Once we were there and organized, we were guided through the studio with many background stories supplied. At the end of the tour, we were admitted back into the studio where we could spend additional time an any exhibit. Return to London was on our own schedule but tickets were provided. Overall well organized with plenty of time to see all we wanted.

If you are a Harry Potter fan this is a must do! It was fun to see the sets in person. The Great Hall was amazing. The guide was very enthusiastic! I liked that we could spend as much time as we wanted to after the tour and return to London on our own. Great fun!

Our grandson chose to visit London for his 16th birthday trip just so he could tour the actual Harry Potter Studio. We chose the early tour and then spent most of the rest of the day enjoying everything again on our own. It was great fun!

From the greeting at Euston Station we were escorted to the train, then to the bus, then through the queue at the studios to meet our personal tour guide Scarlett– it was a fantastic way to see the studios and to navigate getting there from central London. We saved a ton of time and got to see lots of things that a) we would have probably glossed over had we not known to look for them and b) we had access to because of the private tour. It is totally worth the expense and the studios are fantastic for Potterlovers and even those that are not as knowledgeable about the series.

I booked a tour starting from 12:45 o’clock from Euston Railway station. The price included transfer by train and bus via Watford Junction to the studios guided by City Wonders UK and admission to a studio tour led by a WB guide.
The City Wonders guide welcomed every guest and checked their presence in an app on her phone. She provided us with return tickets for the train and explained how everything is supposed to work out including what train service to take back into town in the afternoon.
At the site of the studios a WB guide took over. She handed out bus tickets for the return trip to Watford and wrist bands to identify as guests eligible to re-enter the tour.
Some bus tours from London to the WB Studios have a time limit of three or maybe three and a half hours at WB’s. The nice thing about the City Wonders tour is that there is no such time limit, because after three hours (we entered the first room at 14:00 and left the last room at 17:00), we had not seen everything.
The guide took us from set to set, explained everything thoroughly and was able to show many props like costumes or books in detail. Still, she did not explain every set on display. There are some sets also, that require queuing and for instance allow to take videos in front of a green screen. A ride on a broom, for example, or on the Hogwarts Express. We also missed the various fan shops spread throughout the tour. We did a half hour break to consume a mandatory Butterbeer after around 1 h 45 min, however.
The City Wonders UK tour, however, allows for entering the studio tour again. This allowed to see details I missed earlier and to see the sets the guide had left out. I did not get the audio guide (additional 5 pounds) and maybe still missed some explanation.
The restaurant closes at 20:00, while the studio is open until 22:00.

It was a dream come true for me. I am a Potter fanatic!! Yes, even at my age. When I come to London again I am going to take the tour again. Oh, and if you can get a message to Hannah, my guide, she was phenomenal. This was something I am so glad that i did. Next time I might like to come at Christmas!!!

Had a great guild from London to the gates of the studio. A Warner Bros guide took over and had all the insights and details about character, set and plot development. The only way to visit for true fans!

Definetely great. The only thing bad was with the audio guide inside the tour we could not follow correctly the guy guide speaking only english. We were lost in the way not understanding anything he was showing us. The studio is amazing.

This tour was the best decision we could have made for our first trip up to the WB Studios. The tour guides made the day such a seamless, enjoyable experience. Starting with the meeting point and having someone there to help manage getting the entire group on the train and then on the bus to the WB Studios. From there she handed us off (with our return bus and train ticket to get home) over to the WB tour guide who led our group on a guided tour of the WB studios. We got to skip the general line to enter the studios and go through a VIP entrance, which is another thing that made this tour so worth it. Since there is so much to see and do, the guided tour is necessary and then what was nice was that at the end of the guided tour (which took about 3 hours) we were able to go back and check out things we missed our wanted to spend more time checking out (i.e. one of the many photo opps). We picked the earliest available tour so that we would have the most time possible to see everything we wanted to. It was a magical day and I cannot say enough good things about this tour. I would highly recommend you choose this option if it’s your first time going to the WB Studios.

Great experience, this really was the perfect way to visit Harry Potter Studios. The guides were very knowledgeable and provided a first class service, from the initial meet to the journey back. 100% recommend this to any one thinking of visiting!!!

Our tour guide had obviously seen and loved the movies. She could answer every question and we liked that she did not sound like she was reading from a script. Although the tour was long, there was so much to see and was never boring. It was a wonderful addition to our London trip.

We had a wonderful day with Kevin. He was super knowledgeable and friendly, and he really made the day special. You could really spend all day there and still not see it all, but I feel like we really crammed a lot of information/attractions in the 4.5 hours there. I felt like a little kid all day and loved every minute of it.

It was absolutely worth it to pay for the small group tour. We only had five in our group and the guy was excellent. We got so much more information and were able to see so much more. I highly recommend.

It is amazing to see the bank, Hogwart’s the masks, etc. I loved the tour and I am planning in doing it again in the future.

I have never read a HP book or even seen a movie, I only went on the tour because my daughter is a fan. What a pleasant surprise! It was fascinating to see how much work goes into making the movies, from the sets to the costumes…. You can do the tour on your own but I would recommend the guide since he made it much more interesting than just reading the boards. I didn’t give this tour 5 stars because the guide we were given to take us from the train station to Universal was useless. She didn’t give us any info on how to get back to London and just dropped us off at Universal and left without letting us know where or how to meet up with our Universal guide.

First our studio tour guide, Paulo, was fantastic! A professed nerd, he was a walking, bubbling, enthusiastic, fount of knowledge of everything Potter. Second, everything we saw was amazing. I would not describe any of it here because any one going to WB Studio Tour has the right to experience the awe of seeing it for the first time. The tour was well worth the money. (BTW, a guide meets you in London and chaperones you via train & shuttle to the WB Studio. The process was seamless & worry free.)

  17. Catherine_T

Studio guide and tour was amazing. Viator rep who met us to get us to the tour was awful!! Did not explain the travel process, what was happening, or assist in any way. Didn’t even introduce herself so I don’t know her name. She disappeared for a while and me and my group didn’t know what to do or where to go. She was the thorn in the side of what was otherwise a great experience. Make you research the route before you go and how the ticketing works or you will be lost as well.

  18. Laura_N

I would recommend you ONLY go to the studio tour on a small private group tour. Not only do you have a guide, who politely but firmly moves other guests away so your tour can see the sets, but they also bring certain items placed in the set up close so you can see them. Truly, an amazing experience! But plan to be there a long time. The guided tour is about 4 hours, but then you can go back in and go at your own pace to see the things you missed or want to see again.

DO IT! I waited too long and all of the cheaper options were sold out, so I decided to splurge and booked this one instead because there were 2 tickets left for the day we wanted. BEST decision ever! I am a HP fan (books & movies), and my adult daughter enjoyed the movies. We both absolutely loved our tour. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and the ride over on the train was uneventful and short. But once we met up with our guide Fraser, everything was magical. I won’t spoil the secrets within but basically if you are an HP fan, and you want to see the real film props, sets, etc. this place is incredible to begin with. But when you add in an expert guide who can fill you in on all of the super secret details and answer all of your geeky questions, in a small group (max of 8 – our group was only 6) – well, it’s just that much better. We hit all the highlights, and Fraser was able to go into the exhibits and show us extra special details you wouldn’t normally see or know (like Helena Bonham Carter’s Bellatrix teeth and the story behind how she scares her kids’ friends with a matching set at home, and how Evanna Lynch made all of her own accessories for Luna Lovegood, including the beaded turnip earrings she wore to her audition). I will seriously remember this visit forever, and I will be extra dangerous at HP Trivia now. If you like HP, and you’re making the journey to the studios, do it the right way and book this package!
