This was an excellent trip. Our guide Massimo, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Picked us at dockside right on time and got us back to port with plenty of time before ship departing time. Took us to all the main sites and we had plenty of time at each.

Matteo was our guide. He promptly greeted us at the Civitaveccia Port outside of Rome. He gave of a very historical & entertaining overview of all the sights we saw on the way to Rome & then hit every major point of interest to see in Rome. He knew exactly where to park so my dad (89) didn’t have to walk too far. He took us to a delicious pizza & pasta restaurant for lunch that we really enjoyed. He was fantastic!!! I highly recommend this tour to anyone. Worth every penny!!

Booked this after our cruise one got canceled. You don’t have enough time to go into any actual sites. This is more of a quick here it is, take a photo and move on. We bought tickets separately to Vatican and Sistine Chapel and they only let you in there 30 minutes prior so we had to literally RUN through. I thought we would see the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and then spend time at Vatican City. That was not the case. Our driver Matteo was wonderful but this excursion is about seeing several places, getting 20-25 minutes at each place then moving on. The drive is 60-90 minutes from port so you head back to ship around 3:30pm. I don’t want to say this was bad, unfortunately we were expecting something different. We were hoping to have a couple hours in Vatican City. If you’re looking for a quick highlights then this is for you. If you want to spend a couple hours at a certain place this is not the excursion for you.

Your van drive picked us up on time at our cruise dock and gave us a very comfortable ride to the city of Rome and ultimately directly to our hotel . Perfect English spoken with fantastic in depth knowledge of the city past and present. It was nice to ask questions and get informed answers. We got to travel quickly through streets where only permitted special vehicles could go. We saw all the highlights and many spots the average tourist wouldn’t know about and the photo shows us at our lunch spot recommended by him. We saved so much time and cut out 90% of the walking. The value was well worth the modest expense.

Ivanho was a wonderful guide. He took us to places other guides failed to do. Ask him to take you to the keyhole. I don’t think anyone else on our cruise ship saw this unique place. His pizza place has the best pizza I have ever eaten. His humor was a plus and his English was very good. I highly recommend his service.

Seeing the colesseum and Trevi Fountain. Unfortunately our one day in Rome was a national holiday and many roads were closed. Our driver, Fabio, made a gallant effort to let us see important sites but we ended up backtracking over and over. He spent an hour finding a place to eat lunch. We were all super hungry when we finally sat down at 3:00. Missed getting to see the Vatican. Only a drive by. Fabio was knowledgeable and a great driver. I think he would have done a better job if so many roads were not closed.
