We landed in Civitaecchia port after our cruise and he was there to meet us. drop us off at the airport with all our luggage!!!
It’s impossible to take a Taxi and would cost twice as much.

Flight arrived at 7:05 am, we requested an 8:30 pickup to allow for baggage pickup and clearing Italy entry requirements. Driver arrived at 7:15 am and we were clearly not through processing. He then moved onto his next transport and did not pick us up until about 9:30 am after having to engage other transport companies to contact our driver as we did not have cellular service to receive his messages to us. It ended up fine as we got to our ship by 10:30 am and didn’t set sail until 5:00 pm. BUT Viator needs more spacing between bookings and more communication on requirement for cellular service upon arrival.

There were 6 ships in port and traffic was horrific. Excellent service recovery by the transport company and great cooperation from fellow transport companies at the port assisting us with contacting our driver. Viator needs to advise travelers they need cellular data access immediately upon arrival to communicate with driver. Viator also needs to provide a bit more spacing between bookings to accommodate traffic, etc.

Great communication if you work with this operator. So many people blame the operators when really they just don’t follow instructions. As requested I used WhatsAp which made communication a breeze. I sent flight information and even with a delayed flight and flight number change no issues. Thanks for making what can be a stressful part of the trip easy.

Pick up was set for 9am Two of our party were outside by 8:15 the other two by 8:30. We were constantly looking for the driver up and down the entire pick up area. There was no sign with our name on it. Due to poor cell signal, we did not get any messages. It was near 9:45 when we were able to get through on the phone and they company claimed the driver had been there and could not find us. THIS IS NOT TRUE. We then had to make other, more expensive arrangement for travel. I do NOT recommend this company for transfers. On the positive side, the refund was prompt.

ABSOLUTE THE BEST!!! We had to be to the airport really early & we were short on time. He has been driving for 23 years & knew the quickest route to take us & he got us there quickly and safely. He was flying by other transport cars, but at no time did we feel unsafe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The car arrived 15 minutes late but it’s not a big deal. It made me a little nervous but we still made it on time. The car is big enough for 5 of us with 5 large luggages and 5 roller carry on bags and very clean. No food allowed in the car that’s why it’s so clean. We were dropped off right in front of our ship’s check-in building.

Van was very comfortable and very clean, he had water for us, asked about the temperature in the vehicle. Had us in Rome in just over an hour, straight to the hotel. Would definitely book again. Was over $150 less for 4 people than what the cruise line was charging for a transfer
