Our guide Nam was very considerate. She easily dealt with our schedule change and kindly accommodated a guest with mobility issues. This is not a tour you should try on your own even if friends have given you the name of the restaurants and food stands. Nam arranged for seating, special cooking demonstrations, explained ingredients and eased our way in an out.

We had such a wonderful time on Pema’s food tour! She is a delightful and knowledgeable guide who is enthusiastic about sharing her hometown and culture. Be sure to come hungry and pace yourself. Unlike other food tours where you get a nibble here and there, this tour felt like over a day’s worth of food of drinks packed into 6 hours. I highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Old Town or the larger Phuket area!

She really opened our eyes to the different sub cultures and different styles of foods that make up all of Thailand. So much delicious food ! – we couldn’t eat it all. I only wish the tour started earlier to experience an active local market. I’d take this tour again with friends if I return to Phuket.

This was a great tour. Our guide, Pema, was a delight and not only shared her expertise about Thai food but also told us about her heritage and traditions. The tour was over too soon because she could have gone on and on. Pema was also careful with the preferences of the group and was careful to explain about the food and to give us choices to match our preferences. She was also a lot of fun! We can’t recommend this tour highly enough. It is a must do for anyone who enjoys different tastes of food.

This tour was a highlight of our amazing vacation in Phuket. Nam was our guide and we had a phenomenal time touring Old Town and eating along the way. She gave historical and cultural insights that helped us understand how different cooking styles and tastes have led to the unique flavor of Phuket. We are SO ABUNDANTLY grateful for this experience. Nam made accomodations for me not eating meat which I greatly appreciated. Some of the others on the tour and I thought the price was pretty low for all of the food/ dishes we got. While the food was incredible I cannot imagine the experience being as great without our guide who was friendly, knowledgable, and funny. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour! 10/10

Our guide made all the difference. She had devoted her heart in making the tour perfect for us. She gave us so much information and treated us to so many dishes we felt we under paid. She also took 2 to 3 hours extra just to make sure she does full justice to us. I personally loved the appetizer at the Myanmar restaurant , the Michelin star Ape, the charcoal dessert and the baba wonton soup. It’s a experience not to be missed.

This was a simply fantastic experience in every way. Probably the best food tour I’ve ever been on – we tried at least 50 dishes (I’m not kidding) all from hole in the wall places where the locals go and I never would have. On top of it, Pema was a great guide and seemed to know everyone in town. It was a real local experience, and a great cultural immersion into southern Thailand! Highly recommend.

Our guide Nam did an excellent job getting us to go to amazing restaurants that we would never have found without her. Nam was able to have food altered to meet dietary requirements. I tried and enjoyed food that was outside my normal comfort zone. Even got to try some Michelin rated food. Make sure you don’t eat breakfast before this tour as the food just keeps coming. My favourite: Well I went back and got two recipes. YUM.

Pema’s tour is by far the best tour. From booking to the end of tour, Pema was so personable.
We not only received a food tour but also a history lesson behind foods and a breakdown of how these Thai foods that we know came to be.
Our guide was considerate when we ate from the market sad restaurants.
She steered clear of many ready-made foods to make sure that we ate the right foods and did not get food poisoning or heat stroke. There was a heat wave when we attended the tour so she kept the water coming to prevent us developing heatstroke. We walked and tasted samples for hours.
She is so familiar, friendly, outgoing and delightful that the tour was even more amazing.
It helped that all folks on our tour also ate all of the food presented to us.
This tour helped kick my trip off to Phuket and will forever be an amazing memory.
