Tim_K –
The tour was amazingly well thought through, the organizers were obviously very passionate about the food and culture of their hometown and also really friendly and accommodating.
Francis_B –
The tour was fun. I really loved the food. Nutty, our guide was interesting and informative. We even tried durian, which lived up to its reputation.
Lee_C –
Tasting over 16 different dishes on a four hour food tour, our two guides were amazing. Ani took us to remote local food markets and offered an experience you could not get without local knowledge. Definitely a tour to do if in Bangkok,
Valerie_L –
It was on time and fun. No more to say. The software should not make it mandatory to write a lot to give a review.
Camille_B –
Guide was great…funny and fun and knew all the great places to go to get the best authentic Thai food. Unbeatable experience!!!
Alan_S –
Great tour. Great guide and driver. Very enjoyable. Well organized and would highly recommend. Hotel pick up is a nice feature.
Alison_K –
Great experience. Food was delicious, guides were knowledgeable and engaging, we were happily stuffed by the end and learned a lot!
Sarah_C –
The whole experience was fantastic- while the food was the best travelling on boats tuk tuks and local bus, going off the beaten track and meeting locals was equally as good. Fon was a great guide and ambassador, we met some great fellow travelers too. Would 110% recommend
CarolKrekeler –
Enjoyed explopring old Bangkok and the restaurants that have been in families for generations. Very interesting, and even though we didn’t eat everything, it gave us a peek into traditional Thai cooking. I would only suggest that since everyone in the group was new to Thailand, that the guide would spend a little more time explaining and describing the different ingredients that go into the dish. Having said that, our guide did a great job.
Andrew_S –
This was easily one of the highlights of our trip. We did it the first morning in Bangkok and it was truly the perfect way to get to know the city. Our guide Fon was knowledgeable and enthusiastic in explaining all the neighborhoods and types of food we tried. In the end, we had 23 samples of Thai food, took a bus ride, a tuk tuk ride, and a klong boat ride, with the tour centered around the amazing Nang Loeng market. Come hungry and expect to leave very full! Absolutely would recommend.
MrsB_M –
Great walking tour mostly, around the back streets of Bangkok. Experienced the true meaning of Thai street food with our guide Fon who was very passionate about her food and heritage. Would recommend

While the tour guide Vanna was excellent, the tour was unnecessary long. Could have been condensed to a 2- hour tour. There isn’t a need to go all over town without any historical or culture references. While the food /dishes are good, there weren’t outstanding. Some of the restaurants were in way out locations that were in no relation to the type of food served. There were just one-of restaurants that the tour had ‘arrangement’ with.
On the other hand auntie Vanna was excellent in getting us to all the places and making sure we got our ride back at the end of the tour.
This tour is for those who have never tried any asian food, and who are nervous going to local places to eat on their own. But in Bangkok, you’re never too far away from any eating places and most are accustomed to tourists and foreigners.

Wow, what an experience. Didn’t know what to expect going into this, but it did not disappoint. Our guide Tom (and Mikey) [apologize if I spelled their names incorrectly] were awesome, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, organized, and explained everything in English so we could understand. We had two kids (10-yo and 12-yo) so they made sure the kids were accommodated and needs met.
The amount of food was a LOT (even for me who loves to eat and has a huge appetite). Do not eat breakfast and make sure to wear your stretchy pants (haha!).
It was also nice to get to experience a river canal boat ride, tuk tuk, and city bus. I would recommend to do this tour early on in your trip to Bangkok so you can get a lay of the land. It will make the rest of your trip a little easier.
Thank you!!

Fon had so much energy! Combined with her knowledge of local food and ingredients, she made the tour absolutely delightful.

Was a great time wondering and trying different foods where the locals go to. Fon and Tom were great hosts. Explained everything and made sure everyone was looked after. They let you try as much as you want. We tried over 20 different samples. Highly recommend
Nick_C –
Absolutely loved this tour. Our guide, Nut, was so knowledgeable and loved by the local food traders. We tried so much excellent food and were looked after along the way. We also experienced lots of Bangkok’s hidden alleys and exciting public transport. Loved it!
Daniel_R –
The best food I have had in Thailand and the majority were dishes I had never heard of. Real authentic Thai from real authentic chefs with great back stories. Tour guides were excellent and made everything fun. Would highly recommend.
Nathalia_C –
We went by boat, bus and tuc tuc around.
We tried around 18 diferent Thai dishes.
Both guides were very enthousiastic, friendly, energetic and happy to show us around.
Greta_S –
We had a wonderful experience with this tour; Tom was not only knowledgeable, but also very friendly, and full of energy! He shared so much information about Thai cuisine but also about how the food is made, as well as Thai culture and language. Paeng, who was working with him and making sure everything was ready when we arrived was also a bit help. They both were super smiling, kind and spoke great English.
Regarding the food it was super tasty and definitely different than what we had tried before. We had already been in Bangkok for a few days and still we only tasted new things.
Finally, the group was small (only 5 guest) and all the other people were really nice.
To sum up; this experience is highly recommended 🙂 thanks again!

This is an excellent tour of parts of Bangkok that the tourists do not visit – pretty much solely locals. Food aside (and there was lots we had never tried on numerous visits to Bangkok) – we also encountered the water taxi on a klong (city canal) which we didn’t know even existed – again on countless visits to Bangkok.
Our guide Ant – was fabulous as well Arm who got the tables set up etc.
Food wise – so much that you would never get to sample unless a local is with you.
Niki_R –
Excellent tour with great guides who organized everything really well. Lots of delicious treats along the way! Highly recommended!
David_M –
This was one of the best food tours ever! Johnny was a fantastic guide and he took us to the most amazing places! All of these places are authentic mom and pop shops with fresh cooked food. The tastes were fantastic!
Scott_V –
Excellent food, great guides, had a wonderful time. The food was better than the food we had at one of the Michelin star restaurants in Bangkok. Would recommend.
Ruth_B –
Ani and Tom took us on an amazing walk around places to eat the usual tourist would walk right by. Lovely, family owed and run Thai and Chinese eateries. Each dish of the 21 (!!) separate delights were named, explained and put in cultural context. A boat ride, Tuk Tuk and local bus took us around and Ani and Tom kept us entertained and informed the whole time. Didn’t feel hungry for the rest of the day (yay).
Jasmine_N –
Au and Maygie (apologies, unsure how to spell) were absolutely fantastic guides. They were knowledgeable about the food, and history behind it. Pace yourself otherwise you won’t be able to try everything! Highly recommend.
Troy_S –
Tom was a fantastic guide! We learned so much about so many different foods – and there were A LOT!
If you can, book this during one of your FIRST days in BKK, it will make eating during the rest of your stay even more amazing.
Cecibell_S –
Very dynamic and interesting tour that takes you to the heart of the Thai gastronomía. Highly recommend if you want to experience the real Thai flavor.
Dwan_B –
I absolutely loved this tour and the experience it brought me. I learned so much. I am thankful to Johnnie for being such a wonderful guide!!!
DAVID_M –
We had a wonderful visit and would encourage everyone to do this tour at the beginning of travel to Bangkok. It gives you ideas of authentic Thai food options. The guides were very knowledgeable and spoke to Thai people, customs and cuisine. Very positive experience!
AlexanderEric_H –
I’ve been to Bangkok a couple of time previously, so was looking for a food tour that would provide new dishes for me to try and this was perfect.
The two guides looked after me perfectly and I can’t speak highly enough about them. Very friendly and professional. I had a personal tour as I was the only person signed up for that morning,
The tour started off with a boat ride to the first area and sampling some wonderful dishes, before a tuk tuk ride to the next area and more food to try. It ended with a local bus ride to a market and more food to try.
It all the food was fantastic, you certainly need to go hungry. It was great to experience eating in local environments that catered for locals rather than tourists. It was also wonderful to discover a number of new dishes to try that I had not encountered before on previous visits to the country.
I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone with a passion of Thai food.
