We had a wonderful tour with Mr Beh, and we learnt so much and saw more within the tour, then we could have seen by ourselves within 3-4 days. Not only was Mr Beh a very interesting and nice tour guide but he also went out of his way to show us a range of wonderful experiences. We also learnt so much about Chinese and other cultures in Penang that we did not know about. When I come back to Penang I would definitely book another tour with this company and Mr Beh to find out even more hidden gems in Penang.

Fabulous tour with a wonderful guide. Ms Tan, or as she prefers to be called, C.E., gave us a perfect day in Penang. We told her what we wanted to see and she saw to it that we visited every place on our wish list. But more than just getting us to & from places she shared with us her extensive knowledge and experience at each site. She was with us literally every step of the way. She knew the perfect photo spots everywhere we visited. She is a charming, kind and experienced lady. Hard not to feel she is an old and dear friend within moments of meeting her. This was one of the best tours we have taken in 32 years of cruising.

Penang Hill was the best part, and the largest temple visit. Georgetown isn’t as conducive to walking around as the streets are traffic filled (city should limit vehicles in UNESCO area). Guide was very informative, knowledgeable.

We gave our guide 5 places from the list provided by viator which we wanted to visit. He took us to two of them.
He took us to 3 temples but not the snake temple which was the only one we requested. He was obviously a Buddhist and we being Christians respected his belief but felt it was too much and missed out on visiting the places on our list. He also took us to a coffee/tea tasting place again not on our list and wasting our precious time.
We wanted to visit the houses on stilts, because of time he told us to look out of the window and we could get a glimpse of them.
He was a very friendly knowledgable guide but felt that he needed to listen to what we wanted and not what he wanted us to see.
Pleasant day but a bit disappointing due to the reasons explained.

Josh was a gret guide and was very patient and considerate of our plan for the day. We went up Penang Hill, visited the Habitat, went on the swing and zip line, had lunch at David Browns, went to the snake temple and the jetty. My kids are 12 an 15 and it was perfect for them! Top tip, get the fast passes to go on the funnicular up the mountain!

Wow! We booked a 6 hour tour and when our local guide James Ling picked us up and started to explain the program for the day it was obvious that we were going to need at least 8 hours. Penang is an amazing place with such rich Asian and western history and James will explain all of this in his unique “story telling” way that you can’t help but become immersed in the rich fabric of the Penang culture. To do the local area justice you probably need at least a few days (and probably a lot more)to explore this island.
I can highly recommend this tour but I urge everyone to take more time to experience Penang’s unique story and to always ask for the Master Storyteller – Mr James Ling. Thank you James.

We threw a curve at our excellent driver/guide, Eng Seong, by asking to see the agriculture and rural life side of Penang. He suggested we could enjoy the rural and urban nature of the island by doing a complete around the island tour. We saw most of the usual highlights of Penang and also had a very interesting look at local rural life styles. He is very knowledgeable and a pleasant guide to work with—and took us to a great restaurant. A great day!!!
