This was a good way to get outside of the Georgetown city center and see some of the other sights around the city. Our guide “Gshen” was great and gave us a lot of information about the sights & the city.
The top of Penang Hill is a bit of a “tourist trap” with vendors selling trinkets, photos with animals, etc. but if you ignore those vendors, it’s still worth it for the views and having the Fast Lane access is worth it to skip the line for the tram up & down. Both the temples we stopped at were very interesting.

G-Shen was our guide and driver. Having grown up there, G-Shen was very knowledgable about Penang and got us to all of the sites ahead of the buses. We saw many temple and shrines and he got us our tickets to the Penang Hill rail. All in all a great way to spend a cruise day and see and cover a lot of attractions.
