The guides were so knowledgeable, considerate and fun! They offered to take our pictures not rush rush at the towers.. they allowed us to get back out of the bus to take pics of school kids who were so cute. They helped us figure out how to eat our lunch, which was most appreciated. unique food in clay pots, served on banana leaves VERY neat! Driver was excellent and got thru traffic snarls.. guide on bus gave us good into. This trip was excellent.. we took in the caves, too. Amazing value.

Mr. Jackie was polite, safe, efficient, and above all very very knowledgeable. He grew up in Penang and knows the ins and out of the entire town. He really takes his job seriously and is well worth the money. He was prepared with local currency to lend us until we found an ATM, wet wipes, drinks, WiFi, and more. Very easy to let Jackie do everything and sit back and relax in his ice cold air conditioned van which was also very nice.

The driver was late by 40 minutes and we had to call to the tour operator’s hotline multiple times to understand where he is. Since we were from a cruise and, hence, limited in time – that delay was quite inconvenient for us. When he arrived – he told us that the tour is shared with other tourists however nothing was mentioned about that on the viator.com booking page and we thought that we booked a private tour. I think that the tour agency must have specified this information as the price for a shared sightseeing tour is a bit high.
Apart from that the driver was a nice guy and told us a lot of interesting info about KL attractions. However, the car was not equipped with a microphone and the passengers from last rows did not hear him at all.
The lunch was a buffet in an indian restaurant. It was ok, but nothing special.

Overall the tour went very well. Except in the morning, our group of 32 people had agreed on a departure time of 8:30 instead of 9 am with the tour company. Unfortunately, there was communication breakdown. The tour guide kept waiting for 2 people who had not arrived on time. Therefore the tour left 20 min later.

Our driver Nesan was amazing. Picked us up early and dropped us back during our short time due to the boats odd docking hours. Apparently we booked the wrong type of tour but he took us where we wanted to go. He was a “great” driver in that Malaysian traffic and really picked a nice lunch for us

We were met promptly at the port by our driver/guide Faisal. It took over an hour to get to KL but Faizal was an excellent driver and provided us with lots of interesting information along the way. Our first stop was to the Batu cave temples which were fantastic. Then we visited a batiq factory to see the printing/design process and then on to Royal Selangor pewter for a guided tour of the factory. Then it was a chocolate factory. There was no hard sell at any of these factories. We were due to stop for lunch but we decided that it wasn’t necessary. Our final visit was to the Petronus towers where we had time to wander although unfortunately not to visit the viewing centre as this needed to be arranged in advance. Although not booked as such, this tour was just for the two of us which made it even more special. Faisal was excellent – friendly, polite, a safe driver with excellent English. He constantly made sure we felt comfortable at each stop. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. For people like ourselves with just the day in town, it gave an excellent overview of the city.

The driver/guide was the best myself and wife have ever used. He was in direct communication with us first thing in the morning, before leaving ship. A photo of the location to meet was sent. The guide was extremely nice and very attentive to our needs. His knowledge was most interesting and informative. At stops we never feft rushed. The lunch was the best iv ever had. Real food at a roadside location. We got to see everything that’s was on offer plus more. Again we cannot thank our tour guide enough. We are totally blown away buy his great manner and knowledge of his country. Thank you for a excellent day. And getting us back to ship on time.

Once we got the drive from Port Klang out of the way, Kuala Lumpur was quite amazing – our Driver Guide was very good and showed us the key parts of this City – if you have a ‘shopper’ in your group, KL has excellent shopping! It was an all around good day and well worth having one’s own private car.

Driver we very prompt. Drove to Kuala Lumpur, about 1 hour. The driver just drove we some commentary. We were on our own at all stops. It was very hot and humid. There was no water offered. We finally bought our own. Lunch time came and went and no lunch was offered. We then drove 140 mph (80 mph) to get back to the ship early. Driver was kind and cordial but not a tour guide.
