Booking in advancd with timed entry, very efficient. Only needed to book my ticket as my children 15 and 13 were free of charge.
We had a wheelie bag (which could be taken as in-flight luggage) and 2 small backpacks. Luggage room under the pyramid has a great space and plenty of different sized lockers to accommodate. Simply need to enter a pin to store your bags securely.
You need to show your ticket upon entry and have bags scanned similar to baggage scan before boarding a flight.
Relatively easy to navigate your way around by following the map, provided in several languages. Quite well sign posted. A lot to see, some exhibitions were closed.
    Great experience overall.
Please note: book early, I looked on the Wednesday and only afternoons were available for the Friday and Saturday. We went on the Saturday. Happy to see a Starbucks for a coffee as not many cafes offer soy milk

It’s definitely a must-do, it was quite busy but the line was short (I went off season). However, if you don’t plan to be there for 3-4 hours and have activities planned after, choose which exhibits you want to see before and because it is insanely easy to get lost. The cafeteria food was edible. If you’re also not a big fan of school aged children I would recommend going way earlier in the day because there were many field trips and just groups of kids making their way around as well.

This ticket was so worth it! There was a line but it went really fast so I don’t think we waited more than 5 minutes. The actual museum is massive and it would take days to walk through the whole thing. I’d recommend having an idea of what you want to see before you go in so you don’t waste time trying to find things.
