Did I enjoy the 12 hour day? For the most part, I did as it was a respite from the up to 20,000 steps per day I’d been putting on during a typical day of our Japan stay. Would I recommend this tour? Probably not. It’s an awful lot of sitting on a bus with a lot of other people you have to occasionally wait for when it’s time to leave one of the three destinations or rest stops along the way. Visualization of Mt Fiji is dependent upon weather. The site itself is very commercialized with gift shops and such, not to mention crowded. It then takes time to get to the gondola ride. More like an overcrowded tram. The “cruise” lasts all of 15 minutes. Our tour guide TJ was a nice older gr who moved us along and read from a script about various historical stories. Now I can say I’ve been to Mt Fuji but I can’t say it was the highlight of my trip to Japan.

The bus was comfortable and tour guide Yasue was lovely lady and shared lots of information about Tokyo Mt Fuji the area and Japanese life.
    Great lunch option
Lots of stops to use bathroom if needed
Lots of time to take pictures. We had a perfect clear day

The views of mt Fuji were great when the fog lifted! The cable car ride and the views from the shrine were nice. The food we had for lunch was really nice and the restaurant put on a short display of traditional drumming which was an unexpected bonus!

Ashi cruise and rope trips are memorable. Whole trip is fantastic. Guide is really good. We enjoyed very much would like to suggest other friends.

  6. Maggie_A

The guide has no respect for other race. She has say things that is very sensitive and unprofessional such as there is a saying that Japan is a raising star and Chinese is a loser and she laughed about it .

Refused to refund the day before and day of even though I couldn’t make it. Just took my money without anything in return but excuses.

The trip was well organized and all that but in essence there was no point of the guide since the guide didn’t really provide any information related to the trip but barely managed the people.
In a paid trip I’d expect the guide to tell us more about the place etc.
The bus was clean and comfortable and theres very few options to get to Mt Fuji 5th station but the time given at the sites was way too less. Example: By the time my wife and daughter could get through the queue for the ladies toilet, we had to get back to the bus so they saw nothing much (We had 30 minutes at the 5th station!!)

A very memorable experience with good weather. Mount Fuji was visible and spectacular, colourful autumn leaves along the way, Hakone and Lake Ashi offered panoramic views. A great day trip with a wonderful guide (Shin) and Driver sen. Thank you

The road to the 5th station was closed due to bad weather conditions, so the guide decided to make an alternative tour on lake Yamanaka. By the time clouds had mostly dissolved and we had a great view of Fujisan and its top.
The view from Hakone mountains was even more breathtaking…

I loved the lake cruise and the ropeway. Beautiful views!!! So amazing, I will be er forget. The tour guide and driver were awesome.

Unfortunately the weather was not on our side. It was very disappointing, but no one’s fault. Mt Fuji, Lake Ashi, the ropeway we’re all visited but not visible because of the rain and fog. It’s a pity we didn’t spend time in Hakone which looked lovely and was probably the only place we could of visited in the window of clear weather. Tour company had 4 bus loads of tourists who seen nothing.

Not the trip to go on if you want the picture perfect image. The destination is too far from Mt Fuji to get any decent shots however this tour still represents excellent value for what you get.

It was so amazing to view a lot of the beautiful views within one day trip. The tour lady was warm and friendly. The only problem was that her English’s speaking ability still need to improve.

  15. Sean_G

Loved getting to drive up Mt. Fuji and getting pictures, the boat cruise was beautiful, even the museum that was a backup to the lake at Hakone and the cable car when it was too windy was enjoyable.

The views from the top of the mountain were spectacular. Mt Fuji was impressive. Our tour guide Joe was exvellent. Good value for money spent.

We are fortunate that it was a clear sky & we could see Mt Fuji clearly. Guide Akiyo was friendly & passionate in her guide role, sharing & explaining things to us.

Able to see Mt.Fuji through out the day of travel as weather was good. The guide was very good,he explained everything

This was a great tour. We were blessed to have great weather, so a perfect view of Mt. Fuji and the cruise and ropeway were open. Our guide was pretty excited with our view (we could see both Northern Alps and Southern Alps from the 5th station), and I know lots of reviews were disappointed because you couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, so we felt very fortunate. The trip moves pretty fast, so you don’t have a lot of time at each place. We didn’t have any traffic issues as we were travelling in December on a Friday, so we were given 15 minutes extra at the 5th station and 15 extra minutes on the lake cruise. Lunch was very good. It was a hot pot with beef and was very good. There was even a drum show, which was unexpected. Our guide, Marie, was absolutely fantastic! She was easy to understand, very friendly and gave good information on life in Japan as well as the areas we were seeing. We were leaving the tour in the Hakone area rather than returning to Tokyo. I like that the tour gives you the option to return to Tokyo via Shinkansen, or via bus, or remain at Odawara station if you are not wanting to go back to Tokyo. It wasn’t a problem to take our suitcases on the bus.
