This was a great way to see Paris in a day! We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and Thyago is a fantastic tour guide. We highly recommend this tour. I’ve seen people complain about the amount of time you have at things – but if you want more time, do more than a day trip. It was even better than we expected.
The only problem we had was that we almost missed our train to Paris – there was some miscommunication.

The tour I’d rate 4 stars but the guide I’d rate a -5. I could write a short story as to how bad this guy was. Let’s just say he was so bad that the four of us will think twice before booking anything again with Viator.

I loved this trip. I really felt like I got a great adventure in Paris. Yannik our tour guide made the day as he was super knowledgeable and friendly. It was really wonderful seeing the city from so many different angles, from the bus to the river cruise, from up top the Eiffel Tower to inside the Louvre. I had such an awesome time. I felt in general that time was well spent. It’s too bad that that you only get a few hours in the Louvre, but it’s the type of place you could spend all day at and still feel as though that’s not enough. The only stressful moment of the day was at the start when it felt like we were in a mad rush to catch our train as we had to wait in a long line for passport control and perhaps lucked out when a lovely King’s Cross employee moved us to the front of the line to make sure we made our train. I would recommend this trip without a doubt.

A Euro train from London to Paris sounded like a great way to spend the day. And maybe it would be, but not on this Golden tour, perhaps the worst tour I’ve ever taken! The guide ,Erlon was difficult to understand and horribly uniformed. Our panoramic coach tour of Paris started in one of the dirtiest as poorest areas of Paris and he had little of interest to say about any buildings, neighborhoods or history of Paris.Next he took us to a tiny souvenir shop that was obviously owned by a friend or family member, where we had free time to buy these junky items. Then he gave us 10 minutes on the Eiffel Tower staging area, for photo ops. No history or background of this famous structure, he just dropped us off. Then, we went to the Eiffel Tower and again he just dropped us off , and let us wait almost 2 hours to get to the elevator up, I felt like we were a herd of cattle. It was just horrible. Then , hours later we went on a boat ride down the Seine to see the glorious buildings on the river bank, so huge and touristy and was unguided(WiFi tour guidance supposedly available through a provided headset didn’t work) that I felt again like I was part of a herd of cattle and didn’t learn a thing about Paris at all. Similarly, the last stop ,at the louvre he also just drop us off and we were on our own. Plus, there was no time for lunch at all, no experiencing the food and shopping in this glorious city. I can’t tell you how much I hated this trip with this guide, he dropped us off at train terminal 3 hours before it left, so we spent our last hours in a noisy , dirty train station looking for a place to sit! If you want this day in Paris experience, skip this golden tour and pick another company. At the end of the day, I was frustrated, exhausted, angry and starving.

Alessandra was a fantastic tour guide, cheerful, knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour is good value to see the best parts of Paris in one day!

Very tiring, get to see quite a bit but very rushed. Sebastian was very good and patient with everyone. A lot of walking but worth it

I found the tour very fun, educational and exciting. Our tour guide was very friendly as well. My only complaint is that they did not allot time for a meal. We were literally advised to “grab a quick bite” and perhaps eat while on the river cruise. The lines were long for food, thus, discouraging many to even bother. This caused many of us to go hungry and not able to make the most of our tour. I recall my tummy growling while on the river boat! The tour day starts very early, with most of us having to get up by 5am in order to make it on time. Other than that, it was nice to have guidance on where to go, what we’re seeing and to be alert of pick-pocketers.

I thoroughly appreciated having a guide for our day in Paris. Erlon did a great job explaining all of the sites. We were able to get right through into the Eiffel Tower and the River Cruise was a effective way to view many sites. As mentioned, plan accordingly for meal times as there was lots to see and do. We were able to grab a reasonably priced bite to eat at the Eiffel Tower. This tour was a great way to get a preview of Paris. We’ll be back to explore further another time!

We booked this trip on April 17th to be taken on July 18th. Prior to the trip date we received multiple emails from Viator telling us to “be ready” our trip to Paris was coming up. Arriving in Londo the 17th we went that evening to be sure we understood where the “meet point” was. We arrived the next morning at 5:15am (45 min early) to be sure things went well. One hour after the meet time we fully understood something was wrong. After spending the morning investigating we received information this tour, by Golden Coach Tours had been canceled for months! After another couple of hours I reached Viator by email and got a response and refund for the full amount of $1,568.36. To add insult to injury Viator continued to send me emails asking “how was your Paris trip”? A complete disconnect and system failure. IMPORTANT to VIATOR – when on vacation the most valuable thing is time, providing a refund is not sufficient for your poor business performance here. You wasted our time which is unforgivable and deserves at minimum an apology if not compensation.

Eiffel Tower experience. Excellent guide. Great weather. Good photo opportunities. Pleasant cruise on the Seine.

We had a great trip to Paris. The Eiffel Tower, River Cruise and Louvre were amazing. Lara did an incredible job of answering questions and keeping us on time. Andrea and I will definitely use these tourist groups again.

    DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
I initially booked 2 reservations for 8 adults total; 1 of my bookings was cancelled due to full capacity. Why did they process my payment just to later cancel the booking? This was a MAJOR inconvenience.
When we arrived at the Paris train station we met our tour guide and group. Erlon was amazing, very nice, & professional!
However, the logistics of the tour was AWFUL!! When we arrived at the Effiel tower we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes in line to get our tickets for entry. In the tour description it mentions our tickets are included, thus WHY do we have to wait in line? This should be done ahead of time. Because we had to wait so long in line, we had to rush thru the tower, in order to make the River cruise.
Once we made it to the river cruise there was MORE waiting in line. The river cruise was about 30 minutes NOT 1 hour as advertised!
After the River cruise we had to rush to the Louvre as we had to return to the train station for our departure within 2 hours for adequate time to clear security.
Also our tour guide did NOT accompany us on the attractions therefore the “guided tour” is misrepresented. It would have been nice to have the guide on the river cruise as mostly French was spoken.
Overall, I would not recommend this tour. While the description sounds amazing, what actually occurred was a TOTALLY different story!

  16. ARKAN_M

Poor not worth.. its better to make it 2 days at least …. I didn’t like it in 1 days because we couldn’t enjoy all attractions

We were asked to show up to train station at 0545 and our guide never showed. The tour company was not responsive and never took ownership or accountability for the problem. We had to find our own way to Paris (we paid for a guided tour). Once there the guide was very nice but not prepared. We had to wait at each activity because she or the company had not done pre-planning. The highlight of the day was the visit to the Louvre and we had a whole 15 minutes to sprint through the building snapping pictures and missed getting to see many of the more priceless works. Overall, this this tour company was poorly organized, took little to no responsibility for their deficiencies yet charged a premium price for a service they didn’t deliver. Wouldn’t recommend.

Where to even start… the guide didn’t show up in London so our group figured out how to get through security and find our train on our own. The Paris tour guide, super nice lady, but didn’t set any expectations with our group in terms of being on time, timeframes, etc. At the train station, she didn’t hold the tour group sign up high enough for it to be seen over the mob of people so it took a while for our group to meet up together. Some group went to the bathroom, some were getting food, it was a free-for-all. We had 20 people plus our guide in our group but the tour van could only carry 19 so our guide had to take an Uber with a couple from our group and arrived late to each stop. We headed for the Eiffel Tower – had plenty of time there – it was great. Then a couple in our group was late back to the meeting spot because they decided to have lunch at the eiffel tower (this was NOT the tour that included lunch), followed by a 15 minute trip to the bathroom. At this point, we are nearly an hour behind schedule and head to the river cruise. That was nice and relaxing. Then, everyone scattered for food and bathrooms, losing more time, before we loaded up into the van to drive across town to go to the Louvre. At this point, we have lost probably two hours, pack on horrific traffic and we literally got to the Louvre after 5pm (they close at 6) and they wouldn’t let our group in. They found a work around to let us in individually, so we got individual tickets and had 30 minutes (I’m not even exaggerating) to RUN through the Louvre to snag a quick photo of the Mona Lisa, whatever else I ran past, and a dozen statues. They actually start shutting the Louvre down at 5:45, slowly closing sections and funneling people out. And that same couple was again late because they met some family for coffee at a cafe nearby or something like that. It was so inconsiderate to the rest of the group. Finally, the description on Viator read that we would return to London at 8:15 so I planned a special evening when we returned to London. Turns out, that was not accurate… we leave Paris at 8:15 and arrive in London at 10:30, so I rushed to cancel the reservation and luckily they waived the cancelation fee. So good luck if you book this or stay away from Golden Tours.

    DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!
The worst experience ever. Such poor planning and was nothing like advertised. We got to be in line for 3 hours just for our guide to pick up tickets to enter the Eiffel Tower. Literally spent 15 minutes up there, enough to get through a long bathroom line, and went back down just to learn that we can no longer do the River Cruise due to the time constraint of the Louvre closing at 6 pm. Once we got there, he was very generous to give us 30 min to experience everything. We never had a chance to have lunch, nor dinner, nor promised free time. The timing was absolutely off. Our guide, Pedro Murilllo, had to be asked about everything regarding what we saw on our trip. Very little information. There were 15 of us and not a single person had a good time. So disappointing. Such a waist of time and money.
