Takes the hassle out of buying tickets and finding a way to Windsor from London.
The return point was a long walk from Victoria Station so it could’ve been closer.
BETTY_T –
Impressed with Castle grounds and interior rooms. Please display at entrance times when areas such as St. George’s Chapel is closing for the day. I missed this part of tour by a few minutes – if I’d known ahead of time, I would have gone there first. Coach was timely and comfortable; driver (Will) was personable and knowledgeable.
Iva_T –
It was a very good, well organized tour. This is a nice place to see. Viator is an advisable place to book.
Michelle_S –
I wouldn’t know you cancelled the trip two days before we were due to go, and I’m still waiting for the refund!
Jennifer_C –
I love the apartments, but St. George’s was closed. I was disappointed because our tour guide told us to go there last and if we had gone there first, it would still have been open!
wilgank –
It was an easy drive & perfect amt of time at castle. The pick up location was a little confusing, no one there to direct us but after we figured that out, it went well.
Teleia_T –
The tour did not start at the bus stop it was listed at. It was very confusing and we almost missed it. The guide said absolutely nothing informative about anything. He literally was there to get us in the building and left. The audio on the bus was not very good. We actually didn’t have as much time as we would have liked.

My husband and I enjoyed seeing the castle both inside and out, which was everything we expected. Our driver was great! He was friendly, provided a bit of commentary along the way, did all he could to accommodate peoples’ needs including a woman in a wheelchair. A couple of passengers were inconsiderate and returned to the bus more than 20 minutes late. A few others whined that they were not going to be returned to the departure point even though the directions clearly stated that fact. The bus driver has to explain why this was so. He was quite nice despite the inconsiderate passengers. Nice job! Give this man a raise. Thanks.

The whole castle closed off early (as against parts of the castle that was mentioned on the tour details) and the tour operator had no clue about this. This could have been avoided easily if they were well informed.
Richard_L –
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and took via a different way on the return so we were able to see the “Long Walk”. I would have preferred another hour. I was not able to review the entire self-guided tour.

Windsor Castle is majestic and surrounded by a town. Our driver and tour guide Chris provided great information about London and Windsor as well information many tourists may not know about transportation and lifestyle in London. We saw the resting place of Queen Elizabeth II and the magnificent staterooms of Charles II.
Great day spent at Windsor, thanks Chris for making our experience at Windsor a great one.

Well timed. Driver Ashleigh was knowledgeable , fun and clear with instructions. Enjoyed learning more about the areas of London as we were on our way to Windsor.
Julian_W –
Plenty of time to see both Windsor Castle. Guide was professional. I’d recommend this tour at anytime of the year.
James_P –
Convenient tour for people who want self paced. We got to skip the non-group-tour. There is the audio device you cam use for the tour. Bus was comfortable and kept air on so it did not get stuffy.
Eric_M –
There were two different departure times stated in the paperwork (1:00 vs 1:45). Also, the voucher said to go to stop three but the bus was at stop two. If I hadn’t taken the initiative to walk down and ask, we would have missed the bus.
Edward_M –
Well done. Bus Guide Kirin gave us some great pointers on where to visit. Great time. Would recommend to all

It’s hard to give this tour a review because we didn’t get to go on it. We are 70+ year old seniors. My 76 year old husband had tweaked his back and was walking very slowly. On the walk from the bus to the castle we fell behind. When we arrived at the group tour entrance our group had already gone in and out driver was not there. He had not left tickets for us at the desk. I called your emergency phone number on my wristband but it didn’t work from my US phone. I hiked back to the bus to find the driver but it was locked up. So we waited for 3-1/2 hours while the rest of the group toured the castle. I have wanted to see Windsor castle since I was a little girl and I am so disappointed as this was probably my last chance. When the driver finally opened the bus at the end of the day I asked him where the tickets were which we had paid for. He said he had turned them back in. I’ve never been treated so unprofessionally in my life. Why didn’t he wait for us? Why didn’t he call our cell phones when we were missing? Why didn’t he just leave the extra tickets at the desk for us? There was absolutely no concern that we were missing for 3 plus hours and were completely missing the tour we had paid for. Never again.

Tisch was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and funny! Audio guides were easy to follow. History of the castle is fascinating!

Morton was a fabulous time guide and the experience was wonderful because of him! I wanted to go to Windsor castle and the company through in the other destination for free due to a change in our original tour. Great customer service.
Guy_V –
We were left behind as the bus departed prior to the last scheduled time, which was 1:00pm, although we had arrived on the departure place 15 minutes before. When I booked, the departure time was stated to be 1:15pm and I was asked to arrive at 12:45pm.
That was very stressful.
The bus driver was called and told to stop and wait at the place he had reached for my wife, myself and another person who had also booked through Viator and also left behind. We walked nearly 10 minutes at great speed nearly running at a temperature of 29C/84F. No cab was asked to bring us to the bus. Verbal apologies were made for the reported mistake of new personnel without offering any compensation. In total there were only 9 clients in the bus thus making it difficult to understand that ⅓ of the group was left behind.
Except for that mistake, the driver did a good job.
