It was an easy way to see the two places but it was more just a bus ride, the guide was ok but did not add much to the experience.

Such a quaint town and a beautiful castle! I can see why the queen thinks of it as her Home. Much more of personal feel than Buckingham Palace. And the grounds are gorgeous!Loved it a lot more than Buckingham palace..

This is the greatest scam of all. First, it is a long line to get in. You are not allowed to take pictures. I expected to find memorabilia of the Royal Family, e.g., pictures when they were young, rooms they used, toys, clothes, etc. It’s like being conned into going to an art museum that does not even have any original masterpiece to show. The art pieces are from Prince Charles’ collection of unknown artists that he supports. For the love of God and all that is Holy, people, do not go inside. You might as well go to the Louvre, Brisitish Museum, Prada in Spain, the Duomo in Florence or the Vatican for that matter!!!!

We arrived at Victoria Station and had no idea where to meet. Guess we were expecting someone out in front with a sign or at least a person directing us. Had to ask a competing tour company if they had any idea where were meeting. When we got to Windsor Castle we got off the bus and were sorta turned loose. I knew it was self guides but guess we were expecting the guide to at least follow us to get our hearing pieces, which were very hard to work and follow. Buckingham Palace was much better all the way around.

Loved the tour, I didn’t realise the amount of people who would be at Windsor and out guide and driver got us there nice and early so we could take full advantage of the morning. I’m glad we only booked the Windsor and buckingham palace, anything else would have been too much for 1 day.

Hope you enjoy standing in line. Stand in line at the Victoria bus station with numerous other day trips. This a day trip not a tour. This service will deliver you to Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace but that is it. So you start at the bus station waiting in line for your trip to be called. Then they will take you to your destination and another line and then finally another line for security. This isn’t the fault of the day trip company. But to be honest I’m sick of crowds and lines. Once you arrive you are told that photography is not allowed in both the castle and the palace. SUCKS! So you are paying just to walk through and listen to a recording. Any memories you’d like to record, forget it. You’ll have to buy the book. Then the airconditioning went out on our bus. Record heat. I know stuff happens so I’m not giving the company a single star. When leaving we did buy a book. So we could have some memory of what we had experienced. Left us thinking we should have just bought the book/DVD and skipped the whole thing. But there is something to seeing something first hand…

The guide was sooo funny. We had time to see both places, though when you put these two big attractions together, you may not do either one of the full justice, but it worked out ok with the time, just enough..

This trip is only provide bus to Windsor and back to Buckingham palace. Both places have audio tours. So, there is no point to use this tour.

We had a great local guide – Cliff! He took great care of us from the moment we boarded our coach for Windsor. We left around 8 am for the drive, and returned to London in the early afternoon where we skipped the lines and toured Buckingham Palace. Highly recommend you use a guided tour – it’s worth the fast entry, especially during the busy tourist season in London.

Wonderful trip. We had plenty of time to see Windsor Castle before going to Buckingham Palace. Guide was entertaining, knowledgable and entertaining.
Elisa_B –
Windsor Castle was a sight to see. Watching the changing of the guard was a highlight of the visit. We were able to stroll thru the town of Windsor which was an added bonus to the tour. Buckingham Palace was very regal. You could feel the history as you walk the halls that royalty and other dignitaries had walked. Both tours were great and our tour guide was fantastic as well.
Hamid_B –
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable aNd funny and took us to see other area aRound Windsor Castle to avoid us standing in the line to get in to castle which was nice specially the River and little quint village near by while the other tours we’re waiting in line to get in for an hour or two we had great time !
Selyna_T –
Our guide Steve was amazing and full of knowledge. Gave us plenty of time to really enjoy each location

Did not like being left on our own after Buckingham Palace. The castle tour was great! Transportation was fine.
Danielle_B –
Tour was not worth the money. Skip this tour and make arrangements on your own. The guide did not walk you through just provided a ride to both places. Taking the train would have avoided the traffic we were stuck in. Took more time then it should have to see these two places. Not impressed!
Lori_Y –
Seeing Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace was wonderful and most likely the best way to see them is with a tour. The tour guide on the other hand was not what we are used to with Viator. She had a matter of fact attitude, like we had been to these places before and would know our way around and she was somewhat dismissive with answering questions.
Freddie_W –
Tour guide was excellent Windsor was beautiful. Buckingham was just ok. I understand why you can’t take pictures but it does take away from the experience
Eva_D –
Was amazing! I would recommend it again. We weren’t rushed, and our guide was very knowledgeable. Westminster abbey was our favorite

Palace and Castle
Advertised as being able to visit Harrods after the Palace as part of the tour. Bus and tour guide dropped us off and left us at the Palace to find our own way home.
